    Gangland

7/10. I've never really understood the hate towards this song, but then again it's not a masterpiece or anything. I think it's a strong early rocker and Bruce's vocals are very refreshing on it after the 1st 2 albums, though Paul was a great vocalist on the 1st 2 albums. It also sits between 3...

    Run to the Hills

8/10. This is one that I'm just tired of. It used to be a favorite for a long time, but I don't care to hear it live or anything. However I really like the atmosphere of the song and the galloping rhythm is awesome and Bruce was phenomenal on it! A great rocker.

    The Number of the Beast

10/10. The song that got me into Maiden and is still one of my favorites nearly 10 years later. Just love Bruce's vocals on it!! Some awesome guitar riffs throughout it as well. So much energy in this one!

    22, Acacia Avenue

10/10. Such a great song! Really like the intro on this one, and the bass and drums are phenomenal. A great way to end side 1 of The Beast.

    The Prisoner

8/10. Good song, which my only complaint is the intro. It works, but I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't included. Some great drums throughout it anyway and a catchy chorus.

    Children of the Damned

9/10. I had a rough time not giving this one a 10, but I must save my 10's for my very favorites. Definitely a great song though! This song puts nearly every rocker that came before it to shame. I can't believe they pulled this one off in 1982.

    Invaders

7/10. I think this song was a great choice to start The Number Of The Beast album. It sounds so much like a lot of the fun rockers they done on the debut & Killers, which made an easy transition for fans to get into Maiden with their new vocalist. However, the song is not great or anything, but...

    Drifter

10/10. This is my favorite Maiden song from the early days. Some of my very favorite solos on it. Of course the live performances are where this one comes to life, which I don't care if it's Paul or Bruce, both sound great on it!

    Purgatory

7/10. Pretty good early Maiden song, but is my least favorite on side 2 of Killers.

    Prodigal Son

9/10. One of favorite mellow songs from Maiden, though I like Strange World from the debut more than this one mainly because of the cool drums and the dreamy guitar. This song really delivers a great rest between a very energetic aggressive album.

    Twilight Zone

8/10. Though this song is short, it's packed with a ton of energy and I enjoy Paul's vocals in it, but I can see why some don't. Really keeps the energy flowing through the 2nd side after Killers.

    Killers

10/10! I have always really liked this one. Everything about it is great from the bass intro to the main riff and the vocals are some of Paul's greatest in Maiden. Plus the solo is definitely one of their best in the early days. I would really like to see this one live someday.

    Innocent Exile

8/10. Another fun song on the album and has some great guitar and awesome bass in it.
  14. Nick2632

    Genghis Khan

7/10. A pretty good instrumental tune! But I think it would have been better if it was longer and had some more sessions. Still has a very cool atmospheric feel to it as does every song on Killers.

    Another Life

7/10. It may be my least favorite song on the album, but it has a pretty cool riff and a good solo IMO. A pretty good rocker anyway and I like it more on Beast Over Hammersmith.
  16. Nick2632

    Murders in the Rue Morgue

9/10. One of the best intros of any Maiden song IMO. I'm surprised they didn't drop Ides Of March and put this song as the intro of Killers. I really like hearing it to start Beast Over Hammersmith though! The whole song is pretty good though and along with Wrathchild is my favorite song on side...

    Wrathchild

9/10. This one has grown on me Tremendously over the years! I never understood why it was often included live and always on the greatest hits album, but now I can see why. It's a very atmospheric short rocker that really builds some momentum on the Killers album. I would really enjoy hearing it...

    The Ides of March

7/10. Works great as an intro, which of course was what it was written for. I wish Maiden would have made more albums with a specific intro to set the mood of the album like this one does very will for Killers. I enjoy hearing it before Wrathchild, then Murders In A Rue Morgue, definitely a...

    Transylvania

7/10. It's a good instrumental, but I will always prefer Losfer Words over it.
  20. Nick2632

    Phantom of the Opera

9/10. I really like this one, but not as much as most and I actually prefer Remember Tomorrow over it. Still a very strong song for the debut and some great riffs and a great solo!
