    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

That’s an incredibly dismissive thing to say about the guy with loads of songwriting credits.

Adrian, Janick and Dave's guitars and Steve's basses

Do we have a source on this?

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

Geoff Tate regularly has three guitarists in his live band playing QR songs. Queensryche were a dual guitar band.

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

I suppose they think the extra harmony is more important than the typical power chording. Both are viable options.

Bayley-era Maiden vs. Martin-era Black Sabbath vs. Ripper-era Judas Priest?

I am not saying he doesn’t go crazy-face. I am saying is that he has the ability as frontman to engage with and energize the crowd. The gig I caught in 2008 was electrifying. Blaze grabbed people by the head at the front row, locked eyes and sang into your face. He would knuckle bump and shake...

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

    Steve, I think.

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

He is a much better, productive and consistent songwriter than Dave though. No, Maiden don’t need three guitarists, but having three guitarists enables more options both live and in the studio. Besides, his style contrasts Dave and H well - aggressive and chaotic.

Bayley-era Maiden vs. Martin-era Black Sabbath vs. Ripper-era Judas Priest?

I take it you a) haven't seen him with his solo band or b) suffer from memory loss from his solo gigs or c) have a warped sense of reality. :innocent: :D

Bayley-era Maiden vs. Martin-era Black Sabbath vs. Ripper-era Judas Priest?

Priest and Maiden are my two favorite bands, so that tips the scale in their favor. Sabbath out. The Ripper and Blaze era were both hugely unpopular with the fans, but few criticized Ripper for his live singing - his stage presence and shadow boxing has received some justified criticism. Blaze...

What's the worst Maiden song where the songwriting credit only has (Harris)?

The Assassin, with an honroable mention of Hooks in You.

    Nicko McBrain

Whatever makes him feel happy. Oh, and watching him do the fill (around the "Rain" scream) with his mouth wide open again broguht a smile to my face. Just like old times.

    Judas Priest

Audience vids of those two shows. No, the singing isn't identical, which is obvious already by the second verse line. He is trying his best to sound the same though, but if you play them back line by line, even on youtube rather than a DAW, you can tell they aren't the same. So I say, good on...

No Prayer For The Dying Vs. The Final Frontier

Actually yes. It would have killed them, each of their loved ones, you, your loved ones and quite possibly the world. If you like Marvel Avengers, anything in those movies pale in comparison to what would be if Maiden would play something off NPFTD, with the possible exception of Daughter; which...

    Judas Priest

This is almost certainly mixed by Sneap. It sounds like him. There's some gentle melodyne going on, like on about any other release these days. There are a few bum chords, which means they didn't patch stuff by rerecording off bits.
