    Strangest setlist inclusions? (SPOILER FREE)

For me it was playing Rime on the 86/87 tour. It seemed odd to recycle the "showstopper epic" from the previous tour as Maiden usually reserves that spot for the current album epic (would have been ATG). It also took up quite a bit of room in the setlist.

Create your own Iron Maiden setlist!

Complete agree. Lots of hyperbole. The irony is that the band is big enough to do whatever they want. I get that their "standard" tours only have so much room for setlist additions (well...at least how the band has historically constructed them), but there is zero reason why they couldn't do...

    Crazy news 'round the globe

Thank you, friends. I sincerely appreciate it. I realize that I am fortunate. Others around the globe lose much more. I'm trying to stay positive for the kids. This may sound cheesy, but I actually listened to Aces High last night for inspiration. I'll keep posting on here. I need to...

Sadly, that is/was my hometown. We lost everything. Everyone I know lost everything. I'm still processing...

Are Iron Maiden fans really just paying customers?

I view Maiden like a good author - they've done a very good job with 'world building' over the years. It's a 'world' I enjoy visiting and exploring often, and I'm keen to read'new stories' set in the Maiden universe (i.e. albums). Like any literary world, Maiden's musical world has certain...

    The Apparition

I just love the fact that there are Maiden fans taking time to interpret the lyrics of this tune...most people just seem to skip it entirely .

    Worst Iron Maiden Song

Prophecy and Apparition sound like regular old fashioned solid Maiden songs IMO. I wouldn't classify either one as prog. Prophecy builds wonderfully to the quintessential 80s era " Bruce belting it out" chorus. Apparition builds nicely to the instrumental section. Neither one of them...

Iron Maiden Members Net Worth, Lifestyle, Iron Maiden, Family, Kids, Young, Biography, House & Cars

The lead singer dude from Five Finger Death Punch is allegedly around 66k a month...and that's with a much smaller footprint/legacy/royalty catalog than Maiden. 100k/month is probably on the low side.

Iron Maiden Members Net Worth, Lifestyle, Iron Maiden, Family, Kids, Young, Biography, House & Cars

Unless you know a celebrity's total assets (including hidden ones for tax purposes), investment portfolio, interest in commodities, real estate, brokerage accounts, specific contractual terms etc...then any number used is just a guess. I always think monthly income is a more interesting number...

    DEVIN TOWNSEND DISCUSSION-VIVOR 2018: Round 5 - Infinity

All I can say is that Biomech/OM is Devin's "Number of the Beast". It's his most highly visible album that everyone seems to adore, but like NOTB, I personally rank it somewhere in the middle. I completely agree with Mosh that Devin's accessibility and melody come out here. It balances nicely...

    Maiden Albums: Head to Head

7-4 for SiT as well for me. Though if we're only counting proper album tracks then I would have it at a draw of 4-4. The SiT b-sides are superior and give it the edge for me.

Your Final Maiden Song To Hear?

Any reunion era live version of Iron Maiden the song...and I want an Eddie balloon to inflate behind the gurney during the last verse. As the full death process/declaration can take awhile, they can just loop the outro crescendo until it's almost time. I want to time the final breath when...

How did you feel when the reunion was announced in 1999?

That's interesting. It's cool to hear that someone else got into Maiden as a kid. I also got into them when I was 8 - in 1986. My experience with that has been a little different - getting into them that young completely clouds my opinion about the 80s era because I do tie it in with my...

What are the IM-related items that you've bought but never listen to/watch/use?

No, I didn't take it that way at all . Yeah, it sucks as it's all contextual. If I'm a at work conference in San Francisco and I wear a Maiden shirt for the casual sessions, no one cares, nor does anyone care if I'm out and about in the Bay Area in general. But in my local area (I'm about two...

What are the IM-related items that you've bought but never listen to/watch/use?

Influence, credibility, and stereotypes. Wearing a band shirt, particularly a metal one like a Maiden shirt, usually means it requires more effort on my part to convince people that I'm (hopefully) a normal/nice guy. When I was younger, I didn't care. Now that my non-working time is usually...

What are the IM-related items that you've bought but never listen to/watch/use?

I don't wear most of my Maiden shirts. I will at concerts, but I would feel a bit odd rocking the NOTB shirt (in the family minivan) whilst picking up my daughter from ballet class.

    Iron Maiden turns 60+

I just want the band to have a chance to control their own destiny and end on their own terms. So many rock bands end in acrimony or tragedy. It would be cool to see Maiden have a chance to "ride off into the sunset". A storybook ending to an incredible career.

Here we go again...Iron Maiden sued over the rights of 6 songs

I think you nailed it. I don't think Harris is bad , just too careless and trusting with his management team in the early days and is now extremely protective of his musical baby: The early days were a blur for all of the reasons previously mentioned Steve couldn't remember who wrote exactly...
