Best Iron Maiden album song that was never played live

Re: GAME: Best Iron Maiden album song that was NEVER played live - Round 9 must be the person who hates DoD, and keeps knocking off the awesome songs contained therein. We'll know it's a sham if the fabulous Montsegur is eliminated... :innocent:

Tron's Maiden Countdown - ROTAM and AMOLAD win

Re: Tron's Maiden Countdown! Agree with everything bornless1 said. have a praise, brother! Especially for the Montsegur love... criminally underrated.

    Final Frontier: one year later

Agree with everyone on this one. I gave it another listen on a 7 hour car ride to western Azerbaijan this weekend, and the music is brilliant. But the lyrics and vocals are horrific. This is one song that I think would be better as an instrumental. Anyone else agree?

    Unknown One's top 25

Agree with mtmccox's assessment of still life - it builds perfectly, like a Maiden song should. And it's so spooky. Killers? Not so much (IMHO). I'd put it much, much lower.

    Unknown One's top 25

I agree this list intrigues me - for every one that I am so in disagreement with (Ghost of the Navigator), there's one that brings redemption (the Prisoner)... intriguing is exactly the right word. Carry on, unknown one!

    Ban the person above you

Thanks Albie! I appreciate that someone got it :) In fact, I'll ban you from this forum for being a cut above :)

Ban Mosh because that Batman pic made me laugh out loud at work and have people turn and look at me.

Best Iron Maiden album song that was never played live

Re: GAME: Best Iron Maiden album song that was NEVER played live - Round 8 Can't believe you people eliminated run silent run deep. I'm going to get rid of the Nomad if it kills me.

Recent additions to your music collection

Dawnbringer - Nucleus. What an odd band. Fantastic old school metal with power riffs that are Maiden-esque on the first few songs, and then they get kind of experimental. The vocals are odd. Best album I've gotten in a while though. Experimental without being weird. Kind of a faster, less nutty...

    Most underated songs

Agree entirely on the Prisoner. I would vote for most of DoD, including New Frontier, Age of Innocence, Face in the Sand, and especially Montsegur. Clairvoyant gets love here sometimes, but I think it's their finest hour. Longest Day I also think is somewhat underrated, as it gets overshadowed...

    Misheard lyrics

Rubber ducky, dance of the czars. OK, I obviously didn't mishear it, but man, it fits. And I hear it in my brain everytime someone mentions bert and ernie. I think it's the very special Sesame Street does Maiden episode.

Tron's Maiden Countdown - ROTAM and AMOLAD win

Re: Tron's Maiden Countdown! Agree entirely, in fact I think it's the most memorable of IM's instrumentals. I think it's their best. Foro will probably have some words for this one  :ninja:

    For the next Maiden tour....

In this show, they play the Clairvoyant AND end with the Prisoner? Could this be the greatest setlist ever??? (that's rhetorical, the answer is of course YES). I would see this in a heartbeat. I would flip the order though, and have them end with Clairvoyant, since it's the best ending of any...

All there is to say is GO WINNIPEG! (who knew what would make me cheer for a Canadian team - MAIDEN! They really ARE the key to world peace)  :D

    Final Frontier: one year later

Yeah, I don't share the BNW love - I actually feel exactly the opposite about DoD v. BNW - to me, DoD sounds more consistent while BNW is a collection of (repetitive) songs. Also, it drops off so quickly from the brilliance of Wicker Man. But this isn't a BNW thread - and I promise I will put up...

    Final Frontier: one year later

This album was easier to access upon first play than some other recent Maiden classics, with songs like "the Alchemist" standing out. As I prepared for the TFF tour, I became more enamored with the Talisman and WTWWB (which I still think are the standouts on the disc). On each listen, another...
