The Man Who Would Be King
Exactly. The first time I heard it I was actually startled. I was alone with my eyes closed and the headphones loud. I figured that was the time it was going to get heavier, but I was expecting a build and then out of nowhere Bruce comes in, and it's just him for that...
Re: Satellite 15....The Final Frontier
Khan did you listen to the BBC interview? Steve says they just used the demo tape. Adrian suggested re-recording, but Steve was like, "lets just use it. Like the way it sounds"
It's a good thing you grabbed that from the Radio bootleg right. *wink* I mean otherwise there might an issue with posting copyright links. But since it's the bootleg *wink* you should be fine, right.
It's not a matter of how long they can last (Bruce going till he's 57, Nicko being 63) I mean I'm sure they could.
It's more a matter of if they want to. If at 60 years old you want to be touring on planes and buses preforming for 13 year olds. I mean they might. Or they might just want to...
I went back to find them for you, but realized that The Final Frontier (song) is played in the background of the interview itself. I'm pretty sure you haven't it yet, and I don't think you want your first time to be with Adrian talking about fishing over top of it. So you're probably going to...
Re: In Satellite 15...TFF, do you hear 2 solos or 3?
Exactly, I mean I hear 2 solo's but that doesn't mean there are only 2 solo's. It could easily go either way. We'll just have to wait and see.
_______________
Can we merge this into the Satellite 15... The Final Frontier thread?
Meh, they all new it was going to happen. They probably don't care . . . they have merchandise and tickets to worry about these days. It's EMI who's hating life right now.
Re: TFF has NO repeating choruses?
The Final Frontier is the only song on this album I'd call repetitive, and in no way is that a bad thing for that song. It works well for Final Frontier
Edited
1. When The Wild Wind Blows
2. The Talisman
3. Starblind
4. Isle of Avalon
5. Coming Home
6. The Man Who Would Be king
7. Mother of Mercy
8. Satellite 15... The Final Frontier
9. El Dorado
10. The Alchemist
At the end you could assign a point value to each, then add them all up...
The last one you guys. Once this is done I'm going to make a new thread with a poll with every era twice. The first set on the poll will be our group poll, the second will be our personal (because lets face it, it'll be different) With anyone luck we won't have any douche bags and it will work...
The Man Who Would Be King
At 4:52 for a brief moment during the solo it sounds like two guitars, am I crazy? Is it a second guitar harmonizing the solo, or is it some sort of effect on the one guitar? It's only for a couple seconds. I'm not a musician so I'm just not sure.
Re: Official thread for Final Frontier discussion (Spoilers inside)
Priceless... simply priceless... It's always good to stop and confirm your taking part in the same conversation
Re: Official thread for Final Frontier discussion (Spoilers inside)
He sings: "He sees the picture on the wall, it's falling down" Which to me is weird. Why not sing: "He sees the picture on the wall, it's falling down... it's on the ground" Would sound better IMO
