Iron Maiden songs – a rough overview of their “live history”

Yes, yes, yes... November, sorry! Just edited the date. :) I have to be careful when I share things like this 'cause it's not in my possession. Because that's a cool new information in Maiden camp and I trust the guy, I thought it would be ok to risk a post. If I have any more info about the...

Iron Maiden songs – a rough overview of their “live history”

Forostar, I'm afraid this time I can't be of much help. All I know is the guy has a private recording of the Brunel gig and i'm still trying to negotiate a copy. At least I have the set list he sent me and, even knowing it won't be proof to many of you, I think it's worth posting... Brunel...

Iron Maiden members – a rough overview of their “live history”

Here it is. Please inform if the link isn't working or something. To me it's one of the best bootlegs from World Piece Tour (telling by the concert, not the quality of the recording - which is good). http://www.4shared.com/rar/EzV7nEoT/1983-05-17_-_Newcastle_UK.html Enjoy.

Iron Maiden members – a rough overview of their “live history”

Forostar, Nicko McBrain played "I've Got The Fire" in Newcastle, 1983. There's a bootleg called Newcastle Got The Fire which shows (maybe) the only time Maiden played it at the World Piece Tour.

Iron Maiden songs – a rough overview of their “live history”

The UK Winter Tour (11-12/1980) promoted the release of Women In Uniform single. I know that "Invasion" and "WIU" were played at Adrian's first gig at Brunel University and at the next couple+ gigs. "Invasion" was soon dropped and later "Women".

Any one has seen this "fantastic" alternative cover?

    Paul Di'Anno

At the time I thought the album would cover Murder One tour, so I was a bit confused as to why the band changed members and not included one single song from that album. It was only years later that I knew the history behind SAAL. It has a great cover and i like to hear "Overloaded" and some...

Yep. The first lineup probably did one gig only. And I'm pretty sure it was not recorded on that day...

Iron Maiden Autumn 1979 studio recordings

I have no idea about that. To me he is just a fan interviewed on the video. But why are you asking this?

Iron Maiden Autumn 1979 studio recordings

Yes, for sure. He has a completely different style from Murray's guitar. I think you can hear that clearly.

Iron Maiden Autumn 1979 studio recordings

Yes, i misquote that completely saying that was Tony Parsons on the guitar on the back cover of Soundhouse (Steve Loopy topic). It's Rob Loonhouse and that silly cardboard guitar, isn't he? haha

Iron Maiden Autumn 1979 studio recordings

That's pretty much Parsons' guitar on BBC. Compare the 2 Sanctuary solos from BBC and Metal for Muthas, for instance. He left the band soon after that.
