I loved The Book Of Souls when released but it rarely gets a spin now. The title track is superb but the rest of it is all average by Maiden standards. All other albums I’d say my opinion hasn’t really changed.

It was £33.80 for 2 X 2 pint jugs at Manchester Arena. That was over a quid more expensive than at Epsom for the Derby a few weeks ago, and I believe is more expensive than the O2. I didn't bother , but that's simply ridiculous.

Saw Saxon last night in Blackburn. First time I’ve seen them live and they were excellent, helped by the fact it’s a really strong album they are touring. The Pilgrimage is a corker of a track.

I’ve been away with work this week so only just seen this but Noooooooooooo. This is in reverse order surely.

My least favourite reunion album. Coming Home is pretty safe and standard, but it’s probably my most listened too track - usually when I’ve been working abroad all week and I’m on my way home!

On an album packed with quality, I went for Brighter Than a Thousand Suns. But there’s at least 5 songs (BTATS, The Longest Day, FTGGoG, Lord of Light, The Legacy) that are better than anything on Dance of Death, The Final Frontier or Senjutsu for me.
