Even a release of a Future Past live album wouldn't compensate that gap at all. I think the one has nothing to do with the other for Steve. The songs sounded so different in comparison. CSIT live 1986/87 is miles away from 2024. Not worse, not better, but completely different.

Just in case their side projects are understood by themselves somewhat of a holiday retreat from Maiden, leading to a better next Maiden album than Senjutsu was, then I'm fine with those solo albums (even though I couldn't care less about both African Elephant British Lion and Smith/Kotzen).

I love my Maiden shirts. I have 54 altogether. (Only official merch) Was wearing a Killers shirt as a 10 year old, still wearing a Killers shirt as a 50 year old.

The worst thing is the BNW Tshirt. Not Maidens fault, but: Being 50 now has it that I'm far from being slim these days, and the bright globe in the lower third of the shirt print exposes my belly perfectly :facepalm:

I always found the BNW Eddie pretty lame. I mean, not crap, but boring. TFF Eddie also does not impress me.

Wasn't the upcoming tour announced to be full of surprises? So they might wanna start early in the set. Btw, werent you surprised by CSIT as an opener last year? :p But who knows. When they are speaking of a tour full of surprises, that can mean a lot. For example wrong hotel bookings...

I get your point, dickinson1978, however, the thread was more about songs a lot of fans like but disliked by the one or other, and I really can't see many people in here rating the second half of the DOD album high. But anyway, speaking about DOD, I have to say that No More Lies is one of these...

Ever thought about Judas Be My Guide as an opener? Would work perfect imho. Or Only The Good Die Young. Both great openers, and if they wanna come up with a few surprises, the opening track is always a good slot for a surprise (and their concentration level is at maximum early in the show). So...

Yes exactly. And an added long intro here and prolonged, repeated parts there doesnt make a song better or even progressive. I don't understand at all some people speaking about Maidens "proggy phase", I can't see anything progressive, but often just patchworks of parts for its own sake...

To me it'd be a great album, it could have been among my top 3 Maiden albums, but the vocals ruin really everything. So it's among my 3 least favourite Maiden albums. A shame.
