Much harder to pick a best on this album, it's choka filled with great songs. Oh, what a difference it is to have Bruce and Adrian back. Going from an album with no good songs to an album with no bad songs.
My fav here is Dream of Mirrors. I also love the chorus on The thin line between love...
The Clansman is a fun song, nothing special, but fun at least. A word I cannot equate with any other song on this album.
I'm conflicted though as to which is worse, Virtual XI or X Factor. X Factor is downright depressing with no highlights, Virtual XI is a bit happier but moronic and...
Yes, there are multiple possibilities.
But when I compare X factor to No Prayer for example. No prayer seems to have a very good spread, ther are maybe two or three songs that are noones fav, but lots of other candidates for favs, to me it shows that there is some consistent quality going on in...
I'm starting to get a feeling that the bad albums have a very clear and obvious winner because the best song doesn't have much competition. It shows the lack of consistent quality and depth of these albums.
Very difficult to pick a likeable song, let alone the one I like more than others on this horrible album.
I remember liking Blood on the World's hands when I was first owning and listening to this album.
I know the popular vote is going to be Sign of the Cross. It's much better when Bruce sings...
Powerslave should have never lost to Rime. Rime is the worst song on that magnificent album. Long, repetitive and boring.
This is the worst album that Bruce has sung on for IM. Very few good songs, lots of terrible ones
Fear of the Dark was the absolute standout song.
Afraid to shoot strangers...
There is probably very good reason why noone else nor this band ever again wanted to make an album that sounded like that.
It never sounded futuristic, don't mistake the album cover artwork for the tone of the production of the music itself.
I think it was pretty obvious that I wasn't...
I like the melodies of NPFTD, but the solos are generally poor.
Jankick just goes off on his fast solos, they have no soul, no character. Just fast and bubbly. It was a poor period for solos in IM.
I can't say I care for synths, neither for them nor against them. But overall the tone of SIT is...
I agree with the sound/tone of SIT being really off putting. It makes that album very dated and probably wasn't even good when it was released.
I think the tone of SSofaSS is fine, but most of the songs just aren't that great., Evil and Madness are very, very simple songs. SSofaSS song is poor...
I take offence to the introduction to this album
"From the highest ranked to the probably lowest ranked album... Time for "No Prayer For The Dying". "
Quite clearly Powerslave is the highest ranked and Virtual XI is the lowest ranked.
No Prayer is a terrific album. Only songs that are mediocre...
It's very easy to pick the winner on Seventh Son. Infinite Dreams is head and shoulders above the rest.
I don't think any other song on this album would make it to my top 50 Maiden songs. Infinite Dreams is a strong contender for No1
I'd love to see most of these Senjutsu songs played live. But of course the most of the people that would buy tickets are stuck in the 80's and just want to hear the classics, so it probably wouldn't sell well ticket wise.
These days it is concerts and merch that makes the money. Not album...
I'm a bit bored of seeing the same Iron Maiden songs at all their concerts. I've been to four concerts and seen lots of concert videos and I don't need to see the same songs yet again.
But I'm excited about Within Temptation being on the same bill as Iron Maiden. But I doubt they will come to NZ.
That album bores me. It's very well produced, sound quality is great. But I don't care much for the songs.
Every song on KEA, RTL and MOP is better than every song on TBA.
AJFA has some good songs but most just drag on and on and on.
Load and Reload are garbage.
St Anger is unlistenable, even...
