I have listened to Blaze's album twice now. I've listened to about 4 or five songs from JP's album. So far I'm thinking Bruce's album is head and shoulders above those two albums.

I find them really weird. They seem to like songs that are groove heavy. I wouldn't consider IM to be groovy, but Benjamin Breeg has a very strong driving groove. Normally these guys are, Wow, this is hot, ooh listen to that, that's great. Ohh so hot, right there. And then at the end, yeah...

Their are lots of objective measures. Ability to do vibrato, ability to do head voice, chest voice, mix voice, vocal range, ability to transition from one type of voice to another, enunciation, ability to add fry, and colour and change tone, good breath support e.g. ability to do long notes...

Yeah, but they like the clean vocals when its not metal, but just want gruffy vocals when it is metal. I don't get it.

One of my favourite Bruce Dickinson songs.

I like most of the album covers from Bruce' solo. I think The Mandrake Project album cover is the worst. I'm not fussed on the Chemical Wedding album cover, but I like all the rest of them. Accident of Birth cover is my favorite.
