I have listened to Blaze's album twice now. I've listened to about 4 or five songs from JP's album. So far I'm thinking Bruce's album is head and shoulders above those two albums.

I find them really weird. They seem to like songs that are groove heavy. I wouldn't consider IM to be groovy, but Benjamin Breeg has a very strong driving groove. Normally these guys are, Wow, this is hot, ooh listen to that, that's great. Ohh so hot, right there. And then at the end, yeah...

Seems a bit naive really. The reality is that most fans like to hear good things about their bands/artist. Virtual XI and X Factor are a waste of space, I don't have them on my MP3 player.

Anyway, the point that I was making (and which seems to have been totally missed) was not about how dare Lost in Vegas not like Iron Maiden. But was, as a Maiden Fan, I want to hear critics say glowing things about the band, If they do, then I tune in, I follow them, subscribe, perhaps buy...

Their are lots of objective measures. Ability to do vibrato, ability to do head voice, chest voice, mix voice, vocal range, ability to transition from one type of voice to another, enunciation, ability to add fry, and colour and change tone, good breath support e.g. ability to do long notes...

Yeah, but they like the clean vocals when its not metal, but just want gruffy vocals when it is metal. I don't get it.

Fans like to read positive glowing reviews. I certainly wouldn't buy a magazine or frequent it if they wrote bad reviews of my favourite band. There are a couple of YouTubers called Lost in Vegas. They seem to like everyone except Iron Maiden. It's probably the reason I don't listen to them any...

I love Resurrection Men, it's terrific. LOL. Rain on the graves is much better without watching the video., love the chorus, don't like the laughing. I really find Sonata interesting. Like the story, like the pining, like the spoken vocals. Don't find it boring at all. I don't understand what...

LOL, I didn't say everyone. You are entitled to express your opinions, you are entitled to not like the album, the songs, certain aspects etc. It's a free world and everyone is an individual and has different likes and picks up on different things. There is nothing wrong with disliking this...

Yeah, that was probably the strangest post I've read in a very long time. But then again I don't wear jewelry, my wedding ring sits in a box somewhere. But some people love jewelry so I guess they look at other people's jewelry with much more interest than I do. If you'd asked me whether Bruce...

Probably because the fans want fast and complex metal, where as the critics are used to critiquing all sorts of music, not just metal. Plus, it seems many fans are just simply overly critical. Worried about whether they can hear a lisp in a 65 year old cancer survivor, worried about a mix of 10...

I love the vocals on this album, I consider them the best part of the album.

My favourite song on the album is Eternity has failed. No wonder Steve Harris wanted that song. Bruce's version is better than Maidens. I much prefer one less verse section and a longer instrumental/solo section. That very first high pitched note just lingers in the mind and is spectacular. The...

I'm just now listening to the songs, they seem to be released on Youtube. Strangely they were released over 8 hours ago and have like 10-20 views already. Wow! So far everything sounds pretty great. Standouts so far are Ressurrection men and perhaps Sonata - I like the spoken word parts., I...

I like most of the album covers from Bruce' solo. I think The Mandrake Project album cover is the worst. I'm not fussed on the Chemical Wedding album cover, but I like all the rest of them. Accident of Birth cover is my favorite.

TOS is a great album. Kill devil hill Power of the sun Navigate the seas of the sun River of no return Devil on a hog A tyranny of souls Abduction Great album. Every song on that album is better than the two songs from TMP that we've heard.

    Metallica

My top ranked Metallica would be Master of Puppets Lepper Messiah Orion Fade to Black One I can only get to 5. The rest of MOP is pretty good. RTL is OK, production is horrible KEA is OK, production is horrible AJFA drags on mostly The other albums aren't worth mentioning.
