This was the early ‘90s when AIDS was just starting to be taken seriously and gay rights still had a long way to go. Neil directly calling his friend a normal person and his death a tragedy is actually pretty fucking ballsy.
It’s not quite a 10/10 for me, but it is a strong 9.

See, that’s fair. Like I said, to me it’s a fun like novelty that they never repeated, but to each their own. I feel like a lot of the time people just dismiss it out of hand because it’s rap, not for any other reason.
I don’t really know why the rap gets criticized so much. To me it’s a fun experiment by a band that was always taking inspiration from the sounds of the evolving times. Like are we gonna go after all of the reggae stuff they did in the early ‘80s too?
That’s Dickinson/Murray.
I think I’m most interested in seeing what Steve does since Senjutsu, for the first time in the reunion band’s history, has more than one Harris solo song (four in total!) and all of them are weighty. I’m curious to see if he’s going to pull out all the stops again or...
Bruce and it isn’t even close. Halford can out scream him but Bruce is a master of melody, control, delivery, and power. Rob is more of a meat and potatoes singer who gets the job done very well, with the aforementioned exception of his insane falsetto.
I don’t know what the obsession with Eric...

The debut sounds great because the production fits the material.
Dance of Death is clearly the worst IMO because while VXI also has bad production, the production is about on the same level as the actual performances, so it just comes across as another issue with the album. The production on...
From personal experience, Trumpets probably has the most difficult chorus because it’s kinda got a few different peaks happening back and forth. Thel is about on the same level though.
The Tower is the easiest of the three cuz you just go up and stay there.
Yep, same for me. I think the last time I scored it it totaled to an 80% for me. No bad songs, just a bit of a hodgepodge and not as good as AoB, TCW, ToS, and Skunkworks. Also wish the production wasn’t so muddy.
