This is not muddiness, but literal clipping in places
Other than that, the guitars are crispy clear, and you can hear all un-tightness crisply clearly ;)
I presume Janick plays the acoustic, I don't think he would care about such "artifacts", in fact he may have insisted to leave it in :)
Also, he accentuates the note at 6:57 a little too much, but it sounds more "live" that way

Btw, at the same time you can hear sustain-vibrato on left (electric) guitar, with some fret noise, which is cool AF :wub:
It's best heard on Death of the Celts, 7:23 onwards, left channel especially (where Dave's solo guitar appears), headphones recommended
On Still Life it's very faint, and may be dependent on the release, but this is from Senjutsu CD
They also mention Still Life, I took a listen (Spotify, 2015 remaster) and sure it's there, around 3:20 when the solo starts :oops:
Is it the remaster's fault, or was it there from the start?
