I thought it sounded more like the Edge of Darkness part. TBOS's melody is over different context (chords) than here

I presume Janick plays the acoustic, I don't think he would care about such "artifacts", in fact he may have insisted to leave it in :) Also, he accentuates the note at 6:57 a little too much, but it sounds more "live" that way

They also mention Still Life, I took a listen (Spotify, 2015 remaster) and sure it's there, around 3:20 when the solo starts :oops: Is it the remaster's fault, or was it there from the start?
