Yeah, I think his best singing was in the BLAZE and the early Blaze Bayley years. While his singing is more comfortable and sustainable for him nowadays when he's dropping the key, something is lost.

Yes. I don't think many are saying "wow, I don't miss Nicko at all, Simon is amaaaaazing", but rather "well, Nicko post stroke is a shadow of his former self. At least with Simon, the band keeps playing, and they seem to be happier than during TFP tour, when Nicko was hanging on by dear life"...

I agree he isn’t - much I think is due to style and feel though, with him being stiff rather than loose and Keith Moon-ish like Nicko, but he can play the songs well enough to land the gig. I would prefer a Drummer closer to Nicko, but it is what it is. Simon isn’t bad, but I don’t think he is...
