To be fair to Bruce Dickinson, the 2005 re-releases of his solo albums are pretty good, with a wealth of additional material. His boss in Maiden has a less appealing approach to re-releases though.

It will be interesting to see if the 4 setlists remain fixed and how they rotate them when they are playing a couple of gigs at the same venue.

Some reviews of the show in the metal press were clearly much more influenced by what Bruce had done before (i.e., turning his back on metal and jumping on the alternative/grunge rock bandwagon, whilst at the same time badmouthing a lot of people in the process) than by the gig itself! :lol...

Although Moving Pictures is my favourite Rush album (and a top 10 album of all time for me), my favourite setlist so far could be the one for the opening night in spite of the absence of Closer to the Heart.

I could not go to that show and I still regret it! I was lucky enough to see Bruce, Adrian, Roy Z, Eddie, and Dave at a festival in Madrid in 1997 though.

It worked well live, but the song is the answer to the question: "How would have Virtual XI sounded with Bruce on vocals?" Well, the answer is "Not that great" (in the same way as Lost in a Lost World shows how The X Factor would have sounded with Bruce on vocals - still boring for the most part).

I disagree. I quite like the song and it was bold to play it live.

I have only seen them live once (in 1999), so I am really looking forward to it. I really like the idea of the No Repeat weekend, so the occasion was too good to miss. Edit: this is the setlist of the gig I saw back in 1999...
