Awesome, thanks man! Any info on those three white Strats? Also, there’s a white one used during the song “Iron Maiden” at Rock in Rio 1985, but I’ve never been able to figure out which one it was. Thanks again!

Does anyone have more detailed information about these two guitars Dave used around 1980–81? The maple fretboard guitar with two silver humbuckers appears to have been used in 1980, whereas the rosewood fretboard guitar with three single-coils was used in 1981. Thanks guys! Edit: the rosewood...

Does anyone know the current pickup configuration of Davey’s black HSH Custom Shop with the ’70s-style headstock? I remember he’s used a Jazz, a JB, and an Alternative 8 at different times…

I don’t think Mr. Smith quite agrees with you about the comfort or the killer tone of his old guitars

You’re probably right. By the way, here are some cool photos of Dave and his white Jackson.

I found this 500-page document, and in it he talks about his red and white Jackson guitars and their pickups. I have no idea where that information comes from. According to the same author, his red ’90s Fender with a Floyd Rose had a custom-wound DiMarzio in the bridge

For NPFTD, (sorry about the quality) you can see that only a few ESPs and the CAR Jackson were used. For the recording of TXF, Dave had a Hot Rails pickguard installed for the first time on one of his cream Strats

If I were you, I’d go for a Fender Player Series in CAR (about $500 used). The HSH routs are already there, so all you’ll need to do is install a Floyd, swap the pickups, and change the hardware. And if you really care about the logo, it’ll cost you less to replace it than to repaint the whole...

That was a JB ’59 on his CAR Jackson, right?

Humbuckers are back on the Cali, a beige one in the middle looks way better!

"They brought in the Destroyer, and when I played it, I really liked it. I went to give it back to the gentleman, but he didn't speak English. The translator said, 'He wants you to have it. Keep it; it's yours!' I couldn't believe it. "I used it for quite a few years, as it sounds great and...

I love his tone on this album, especially on Senjutsju, Time Machine and The Parchment. For me the best since Brave New World.
