Re: Daily Song: Sea of Madness I love this song, it has a great chorus and a wonderful section in the middle, and the guitars really give it a weird sort of dystopiate future sound. I give it a 9.

I voted a 10. Angry, serene and then frantic, and then angry again before the final scream of desperation. It just encapsulates what the album is all about with some utterly sublime and beautiful guitar work, evoking ancient Egypt from the very first chord to the last.

Caught Somewhere In Time should be a title track, but ah well. My favourite is my favourite overall Maiden song, Powerslave. It just encapsulates what the album is all about with some utterly sublime and beautiful guitar work, evoking ancient Egypt from the very first chord to the last...

I only own Live After Death and Flight 666, so my opinion isn't perhaps the most valid. I personally prefer Flight 666, there are some very good live versions on there (especially love Powerslave and Moonchild) and like the poster above says, it really captures the excitement and the whole scale...

Powerslave, it's been my favourite for some time now. I just think that it is a very consistant record, and even the weakest track (Back in the Village IMO) is very listenable. Some of the best guitar work on here too. SIT is probably their next most consistant album for me, with only one...

I am one of the 'GTA Generation' and as such have been introduced to a good many songs and artists through the games. So it may come as no suprise that the first Maiden track I heard was 2 Minutes to Midnight which was featured on the GTA: Vice City Radio Soundtrack on their "VROCK" station...

Wait... didn't the album peak at #1 in 40 different countries? I ask because it's all doom and gloom in this thread. #1 in 40 countries is a record for heavy metal that even Mainstream Metallica haven't touched. We should be rejoicing.

To be honest, the whole album was a sleeper for me. I listened to El Dorado first and thought it was very catchy and a decent song, but hoped the rest of the album would be better, then I listened to the title track and thought "this is ok, but what else is there?" and when I finished listening...

Great choice, I love that song and it is the kind of thing that would make a good single.
