    No Prayer for the Dying

Lyrically perhaps? Not saying I agree but I'm guessing based on the poster mentioning that he rates NPFTD high based on lyrics. To each his own though, like he says, we'd all be boring if we all liked the same thing. I actually really like Dance of Death for example but quite a few here rate it...

    No Prayer for the Dying

I think if we are judging it as a standalone album from any old band, it is actually decent. But when compared to the albums Maiden have released, it doesn't stack up well. Even so, it's quite grown on me, I rate it higher than FOTD and the Blaze albums. Mother Russia, Hooks In You, Title Track...

    Children of the Damned

Possibly my favourite song on the album, along with Hallowed and 22 Accacia Avenue. Great intro which was subsequently copied on Metallica's 'The Unforgiven II', fantasticly haunting vocals from Bruce and end section brings chills to me. My score is a 10.

    The Number of the Beast

I give this an 8, definately a classic fast and frantic Maiden tune with some amazing riffs and a great solo section. It is one of those songs that has become sadly Cliche'd, but sometimes just because something is Cliche'd doesn't mean it isn't good.

    Gangland

This song is decent, underrated without a doubt. Although I don't think it's in the 'criminally underrated' category like the middle of the Powerslave album or Total Eclipse on NOTB. It lacks a little something extra that Total Eclipse does have (IMO). Still a good song though, my rating is a 7.

    Invaders

I give this an 8. It's a perfect album opener, flying straight out of the blocks, hitting the listener hard and fast. It lacks something extra to propel it to the higher scores, but I do feel that it announces the NOTB album straight away as a hard, melodic, and at times frantic slab of heavy metal.

    Caught Somewhere In Time

This is a 10 for me, fantastic riff and absolutely wonderful solo section. I love how the solo winds-down seemlessly straight back into the main riff. I think the chorus is great, I might be in the minority but I think it adds to the song.

    Heaven Can Wait

Re: Daily Song: Heaven Can Wait Not a bad song, but not really a standout either. If it weren't for the middle part this probably wouldn't be played live nearly as often. I give it a 7, as it is the weakest track on SIT but then SIT is an excellent album.
