Well, I guess in the end there is no point in speculating. Maiden will play what they want and we just gotta be happy with it.
I'm just happy i'm seeing them for the 3rd time in 3 years :)
Does anyone know what the Aarons amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia is like? I'm seeing Maiden there and I'm wondering what the view of the stage is like from a couple rows before the lawn? Anyone have prior experiences?
Why do Maiden play Doctor Doctor before every show? Is it just to let fans know when they are about to go on? Or is it a favorite of theirs that has become tradition? Have they always done this?
You summed it up perfectly with that paragraph. :)
And I agree with you about the Alexander the Great thing. They definitely know how much fans want to hear it be played live, and I really think that they are going to make our dreams come true this year.
I can picture it now.. they close...
As you all probably know, Maiden supposedly has a few "surprises" for the upcoming tour according to Bruce. Well, I was thinking about it a little bit, and I thought to myself "Hm.. what if they aren't only concentrating on the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album/tour like we are being led to...
I hope they don't do another history tour after this an I highly doubt they will. The 90's wasn't particularly successful comparatively speaking and they pretty much ignore every song except Fear of the Dark. Hopefully, they put out another album or two and go on tour strictly to promote the new...
Where have you seen Maiden and What are some of your most memorable personal experiences with Iron Maiden in terms of their live performances?
Mine was seeing them for the first time in 2009. I think everything on my body stood tall once the beginnings of Aces High played over the PA.
I figured someone would say that. :p. By no means are they expected to play at literally every country on the globe, but the countries I mentioned above have been visited by plenty of bands in the past, so I was just curious as to why Maiden overlooked them entirely or significantly.
There are numerous countries that I've noticed Maiden haven't ever played in or have only visited once according to the commentary tour section. They include, but aren't limited to..
Latvia
Lithuania
Estonia
Luxembourg (Shows that they played there during World Piece tour, but there is no...
Let's be honest here, You wouldn't be interested in seeing how it happened exactly? I know I am. Dave isn't particularly that energetic on stage compared to his band mates, so I'm having a hard time visualizing how it would've happened.
I wonder what the exact (or approx.) figures are for how many albums Maiden sold in each country. I'd love to compare and contrast and see where Maiden's biggest and smallest markets lie. I remember seeing approximate amounts for Metallica, which I thought was interesting (I can't remember...
I thought that this would be a fun and interesting thread. The title is pretty self explanatory.. what is the last song you listened to off each studio album?
Iron Maiden - Strange World
Killers - Wrathchild
The Number of the Beast - Hallowed Be Thy Name
Piece of Mind - The Trooper...
I believe it does, but I hope so too!
This will be the first time I go and see them with no idea of what the set list will be! It will make things more interesting :)
You're right. My set list would probably make for a longer show then we are typically used to seeing.. I don't know if they are strict about the length of their shows or not :p. But seriously, what better tour to play ATG for the first time!? I find it very unlikely that they are going to do...
First post here! Feels great to finally be a part of the forum :).
Like the rest of you, I was elated after learning that Iron Maiden was going back on tour so soon. I plan on seeing them in Georgia if they don't make a Florida date.
If I had to predict a set list, it would go something...
