    Favourite Iron Maiden Drummer

With all due respect to Clive, Nicko is by far the more superior drummer.  Clive did all of 3 albums (I know there are reasons for this) but, Nicko has done 11 albums.  Now, if he wasn't that good, don't you think he would've been replaced at some point in the last 24 years?  The man is now 53...

    Brave New World: Favourite Song

Like every Maiden album (except No Prayer) there are a lot of potential favs.  The Wickerman does it for me on this one though.  The opening of it is so powerful and it really said to me at the time "Maiden is Back!!"  I'm not saying the Blaze era was bad, it wasn't at all.  In fact, I have the...

Heaven and Hell - The Devil You Know

Re: Heaven and Hell I'll be at this show in almost a month. Heaven and Hell with Alice Cooper and Queensryche Amway Arena, Orlando, FL Sun, Sep 16, 2007 06:30 PM Saw Queensryche last year on the Operation Mindcrime I & II tour and that was just awesome! Never seen Dio or Cooper in action...

What do these songs have in common?

O.k., I know a lot of you know Maiden forwards, backwards and inside out, so excuse me if this has been posted before. The Clairvoyant Afraid To Shoot Strangers The Legacy It's small thing they have in common but I never thought of it till the other day. . The Clairvoyant   ...

    Least favourite album

No Prayer here...... Almost every album has a weak track or two, but they will have standout tracks to make up for it.  This one, to me, has only one great song and all the rest well.....could be forgotten.  I've bought every album since Killers when they came out, and it would take a few days...

    Rock in Rio

Personally, I love the crowd singing.  I know the songs..have heard them thousands of times and I think Maiden could not be happier to hear a crowd (especially that Rio show) singing their music back at them.  My wife loves Maiden as well and on the weekends when we go shopping or whatever...

How many Iron Maiden live songs have you witnessed at (an) Iron Maiden gig(s)

I remember doing the exact same thing!!  Saw Maiden here in Jacksonville, Fl on the Somewhere on Tour.  Teenager and also left before the encore!!  Too funny.  Wonder where my highschool bud is now, haven't heard from him in years.

    Remember Tomorrow about Katyn?

In case you didn't know there already is a commentary for every song. :innocent:  Not trying to be a jerk or anything but seriously go read them, a lot of work went into it more than just opinions on a song.  I am a noob around here and have found that the Iron Maiden Commentary is the absolute...

    Sanctuary

Re: 'sanctuary' Now that the dead posts have been risen.....I actually dig this song.  It's not a stand alone type song that I would play, but to really get the crowd moving and the break in song for introductions or rants is awesome.  I would give it 3.5.

    What is Sharon up to...?

:notworthy:  Rock on Bruce!!!  As for Sabbath and Ozzy....to tell the truth I felt that Sabbath was better with Dio.    I know that Sabbath was breaking new ground when they started but really, that crap is overrated. Ozzy's solo career was o.k. I guess, but I really don't care for much more...

    The Joke's on Them

I remember using super glue, to glue razors to the back of my cd and amps back in high school :innocent:  You know that way they smash your window after cutting themselves. :D

    Is Iron Maiden commercial?

Maiden are a bunch of guys, doing what they love and making a great living doing it.  All the DVD's are a gift to me as they don't tour as much in the states.  To see how the world reacts to them outside the U.S. is fantastic.  What I like about the overseas concerts is the cheering, singing and...

    Favorite Numbers Song!

I didn't forget it.........that's the "one" I voted my favorite numbers song.  I've really enjoyed the others over the years, but this one really delivers.

    Bootleg for poster ??

C'mon...somebody has one.  Just trying to remember some stuff from the show.  It's the first time I saw them and I cannot remember what Bruce says when someone threw some firecrackers in the air during the show.  It's really a bit cloudy and probably not a big a deal as when it really happened. ...

    Your First Maiden Gig ?

Well to my fault we are getting off topic........ lets just agree to disagree.  We all have different opinions on music present and past :ok:  The good thing though is Maiden has ruled for over 25 years and I just hope they can continue for another 25 :notworthy:

    Your First Maiden Gig ?

While i'm not dismissing all bands of today, I too find it hard to like anything other than one or two songs on an album.  I have found that a lot of todays music is still trying shock people with the name of the band, album art and lyrics about all types of insane crap.  I know that Iron Maiden...
