Yes the lyrics (and their delivering) and the final solo are by far the best elements.
I'm largely partial to this song tho, I love it and especially the "a spirit with a vision is a dream with a mission" line, but objectively speaking it isn't near their best works like Tom Sawyer, Limelight...

Hard agree on Bravado, underrated gem. Hemispheres has both the best and the second best guitar riffs of their career. And the feedback that closes Limelight's solo will ring beyond eternity.
But any comment for Mission that isn't "masterpiece"...
