Best version of each Maiden album?

Keep in mind that every CD pressing up to and including the '95 2CD Castle Remasters contain the original album mastering. Those are the version I went for and I don't regret it one bit. They sound fantabulous and the bonus CDs include the bsides/single material as well, also.

2am (it says beer in the lyrics and the band played in pubs which sometimes serve beer. The connection is real.)

Best version of each Maiden album?

I assume we're talking the Somewhere Back in Time greatest hits collection, not the studio album Somewhere in Time, to be clear? I have the CD version and vinyl version of this and the covers are the same. I'll sniff around on Discogs and the Encyclopedia Metallum to see if there's a unique...

    Short-answer questions

Funnily enough, they did a remaster campaign for the first 10 years singles as well. I know because I have all the 7"s on vinyl. So those bsides and such were clearly remastered with the rest of the album.s

Some GREAT Maiden fan art by a young German artist

I'm loving how nonplussed and over-it-all Book of Souls Eddie looks.

    Short-answer questions

It's this. They're based on not just the original pressings, but the original UK pressings. Hence why the first two albums don't have the extra tracks they came with and such. The idea was to release an updated version of the album as it was originally pressed. Which, to me, is a bit strange...

Best version of each Maiden album?

I'm very fortunate that at this point in my life, I have the one thing I've always wanted: a music room/library dedicated to storing, displaying, and playing music. I've got a turntable setup, cd player, ipad for streaming, and a pretty decent sound system. I sit on a couch, face the speakers...

    USA Politics

This is a more succinct way of stating what I was getting at earlier. Trump in and of himself is a harmless dolt. But he has a cult of weaponized stupidity following him that is incredibly frightening and dangerous. If Trump had been a part of the Watergate Scandal, he’d have owned it and...

This is a good correction, thank you! But it still makes my point stand. I feel had anyone else done this on live TV, there'd be much less delaying and much more convicting.

    USA Politics

I'm not at all hopeful that the guilty verdict will in any way keep Trump out of a second term, and believe it will likely galvanize his fanatical followers. This is a man who already caused a straight up insurrection on live TV. If anyone else had pulled that shit they'd have been tried and...

    Judas Priest

That's not what they're saying. Clearly they mean they'll go into their band warehouse and do a yearly inventory on their products and make sure the counts line up. I used to do these at Radio Shack, so I know what I'm talking about.

    Setlist staple

Dream of Mirrors works better than Blood Brother's as that sort of repetitive yet anthemic song. Afraid to Shoot Strangers and No More Lies could also fill the gap.

    The Parchment

It's in my top 3 Iron Maiden songs. And it's either 1 or 2, because I can't decide if I like it slightly less or slightly more than Starblind. Rounding out my top 3 is Infinite Dreams. But yea, Parchment is that damn good. I've said it before, but the way it builds continually and keeps...
