With the announcement of the current tour my thinking is if we are to see another album then it will be 2027 at the earliest.
We know that this new tour will take them up to the end of 2026 and we know the set list will be based around the first 9 albums only.
This is what I think may happen...
Just ordered the new book, plus I ordered another copy of the first book 1973-1983 as I really wanted the special collectors edition and the cover art looks way better.
A lot of money for a book I essentially already had but the new art looks a lot better alongside the new book.
Don’t mind...
So powerslave will be 40 years old tomorrow and…..shock horror….Maiden gavent put the bunting out and let off the fireworks and they haven planned a big celebration.
Every album Maiden has ever released has an anniversary every single year. What’s so special about the album being 40 years old...
I love how threads like this always end up with people jumping on and bashing the songs/albums they don’t like. That’s not what the OP was asking.
I’d say the most highly rated and highly thought of albums would be Number of the beast, Somewhere in time and possibly Brave New World as it was...
Whether or not you personally like it wasn’t the point of this thread. The question is what is the most over rated album and I don’t think Senjutsu is particularly highly rated at all, at least not by casual fans so from that perspective it can’t be over rated.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Rasmus has this as part of his collection :p
That dude never ceases to amaze me a) how on earth he gets all this stuff in his collection and b) where on earth he gets the money from.
On the subject of trooper beer I really like it but for some reason all the variants of the main beer are just impossible to get hold of.
The regular trooper is always in stock in my local Asda and a while back when the new session IPA was launched they had a few bottles if that but once it was...
lol, no way. Rob’s voice on the last 2 studio albums has had so much studio help to sound the way it is almost to the point it could be an AI robot doing the singing.
Don’t get me wrong, I think invincible shield sounds great but when I first heard it I was taken a back by the singing. Rob...
That rant is basically all about money and about plugging his new book.
There’s a lot of negative stuff that’s been swirling around this Stjepan Juras over the years and ever since he hooked up with Paul I get the feeling it’s all for his own personal benefit.
Every so often the guy goes on a...
Picked up the vinyl boxset yesterday for the newly released Tony Martin albums. Bit disappointed to be honest. A small but noticeable scratch on the front of the box, likely from the way it was handled at HMV. Not a massive big deal but a bit annoying.
Upon opening up the box set I also...
On a further point I have no idea why the band and their management think that dvds and blu rays don’t sell anymore. There’s still a big market for physical formats and loads of bands still release them.
I guess they can’t be arsed to make one when they think some low life is gonna download it...
I still hold out some hope that we will get a history pt. 4 documentary but I don’t think it’ll concentrate on the 1990’s. I think it’ll likely cover the period from straight after pt. 3 Finishes right the way through the 90’s, reunion and final days and will likely turn up in a box set when the...
With all this talk of a big tour coming up in 2026 and the success of the future past hybrid tour between 2 albums I’m convinced the next big tour will also be a hybrid tour.
The more I think about it the more I’m convinced a superb idea would be to combine post and pre reunion eras. Not sure...
When Bruce talks about a big Maiden tour in 2026, in my opinion I don’t think that refers to a pure greatest hits tour.
I think with time running out the future past tour has given them a reason to combine a new album with a greatest hits tour.
I thinks it’s feasible that a new album drops end...
Fair comment. I didn’t know the 2015 remaster changed as much as what you mentioned.
I’ve got it but I’ve never listened to it. Bought more as I was collecting the 2015 remasters in vinyl than to actually listen to it as I have the original CD and vinyl. My go to when listening to dance of...
I think the reason I’m bored of hearing it is because no amount of criticisms is ever going to change a thing. The reunion albums already released are what they are. Can’t change this and I very much doubt Steve will ever go back to these albums in the future and remix them or do anything to...
That comparison is nonsense.
I keep hearing people say that theirs loads of mistakes in the last few albums and I honestly I don’t hear many. I think some fans are bit too obsessed and analyse things in far too much minute detail.
As I said, recent albums are basically live albums recorded in...
Whilst I love the 80’s albums, even the much maligned albums like Destiny and Rock the Nations, personally my favourite period of Saxon is late 90’s until now.
I would recommend to anyone to start with Unleash the beast which is a superb album and then just work your way through each album...
