It is not that he is straining JUST during this song. Stratego also sounded strained and most of the songs in that register. Halford had a much broader range and JP downtuned ages ago. Anyway, as I said before they are Maiden and would do everything their way.....as long as people pay to see them!

With all its' shortcomings it is still the best album since FOTD!

Well, I thought this is the reason for my pathogenicity too, But I do not think so. I did not even know that FOTD was released at the time. I was into death/thrash. Liked it from the first listen!

I believe it was around 1993. I got to listen to Powerslave and Seventh son when they got released but I was too young to appreciate the music. The first album I got to hear extensively was NPFTD and Killers around that time.
