News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Yep, the biggest question for me is how many more countries they tour next year. Gets me thinking... Metallica just played their first ever show in Qatar. The high end concert offerings in Singapore has also really picked up since Maiden last played there in 2011. Japan and Australia are more...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Yeah, I attended four (or three and a half) of those Aussie 2024 shows. I missed half of Sydney second night due to a work call - doh! I didn’t think Nicko sounded that bad in the arena itself but maybe it was the atmosphere making up for it. But you are right, those are the exact shows he said...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

I think they all wanted to do it when planning the set list. And now have the experience of actually playing it after 90 mins onstage aged in their late 60s night after night … The one atrocious Bruce performance of Aces from this summer is probably the most off I’ve heard them on stage (or...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Just Harris's opinion, singular. Read it in the latest FC magazine. If I see him at Cart and Horses this week I'll ask him!!!! The RFYL setlist seems decided by a committee of 3. Everyone who has ever had a committee at work will know sometimes it can come up with odd decisions that please...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

In 2010 they went for Breeg and Colours from AMOLAD only. Interesting to remind ourselves that WED was played in 93, 06 and 18... that's the kind of big return after many years for a beloved song. The big gaps make it such a treat for the fans. Changing topic to Aces High, I am wondering now...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

For me, its a setlist mashup of Ed Huntour, Early Days, Somewhere Back In Time and Maiden England ... that's just how the current setlist feels to me. With every song from RFYL played on one or several of these tours. If I didn't follow the band avidly and see 50 shows over the last 25 years...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Objectively it is a great show. For those of us who have seen most or all tours since 1999 however, we've heard the reunion lineup play these songs already, so the 'wow' factor was a bit muted for me pesronally. But for the stadium crowds and casuals they want to attract, it is a well designed...

News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

I think similar, I'd expect an approach to touring involving a random run of dates here and there.

    News 18th Studio Album discussion

This is an immense accomplishment, a clear indication of the success of the reunion era. Well done to Maiden and to the awesome idea of alternating new album and history tours. For 2.5 decades, it has kept it way more interesting for us fans than the approach of other comparable acts, IMO.

    News 18th Studio Album discussion

In the latest Fan Club magazine, Steve says he thought a couple of songs in the current setlist -- "not naming any names" -- could have been rested. Until he saw the visuals and agreed otherwise! I think he means Aces High ... I am starting to think the band has made a very sensible...

News Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

Priest are buying in a lot of younger external talent late in their careers to make those last 2 albums sound that good. And I fully include Andy Sneap into that equation. Great albums YES. Organic albums NO WAY. It’s not about KK or Glenn by the way, it’s just the polar opposite approach to...

Maiden songs you find rather boring

I agree. For me: The Parchment Senjutsu Empire of the Clouds Mother of Mercy Age of Innocence From the reunion era, they have great parts but overall none of the first 3 in my list justify their length

    Best performances of a song

I saw the BNW set list played about six times between 2000 and the Clive shows in 2002. Loved the shows but the set list pacing just felt off in the middle.

    Best performances of a song

Agreed. Setlist selection gets better from 2008 in my opinion. Not in terms of old vs new songs but in terms of flow, balance, variety within sets. BNW setlist needed something more I think, especially in terms of flow.

News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

My fear as well, since Maiden saw the London Stadium numbers and thought, 'great lets top that!', but they may not succeed. The documentary hype will boost some sales early next year, that's my expectation.

Genius and made me laugh! Really well written post, absolutely on the money. It’s another of the reasons why I like Maiden too.

News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Maybe not quite, but Maiden has closed the ticket sale gap with Metallica really well, I guess in most places except USA. Some markets Maiden may be neck and neck or even better. Total turnaround from the late 90s when Metallica towered over Maiden’s ticket sales.

Take your time! I'll be interested whenever you read it (I'm not convinced I'll buy it yet, but maybe I will if it sounds good).

Tell us more about the Shooman book. I have his Bruce bio which was quite good (I read it in 2009 so can’t recall it very well)

Assume they release it ahead of the tour, to also help super charge ticket sales?
