The playlist name "Sleep Next to Plastic" persuaded me to click that link as it's a line from Camper Van Beethoven's hypercatchy song "Take the Skinheads Bowling" which I've loved since the 80s. Looking forward to checking out their cover version after work.

I often skip the first half of TFF but I think the 2nd half beginning with Isle of Avalon is as good a stretch of Maiden songs as any found on any other album.

I really like Infinite Dreams but I think it needs a proper guitar solo. I think that would elevate it from an A to an A+.

Agreed, seeing Clairvoyant live is one of the high points I’m most looking forward to. I like TETMD as well but I’d MUCH rather see Clairvoyant live.

I don’t know exactly where Senjutsu lands in my favorite IM list- it changes all the time anyway- but I think it’s great. If they have more album worth of song ideas even close to that level then I’d say them getting another album out before they ride off would be extremely important for me...

I first saw Rush on the Hold Your Fire tour and last on the Test for Echo tour. I see reminders every day that my younger days are history.

I unashamedly enjoy the song Burning Ambition. I’ve had Soundhouse Tapes in heavy rotation lately and I enjoy the frenetic energy.

Great gold medal game! Like Jack Hughes said in the postgame, Connor Hellebuyck was the only reason Team USA was still in it. The tribute with Johnny Gaudreau's children was beautiful.

Agreed on disliking the 3 on 3 OT format, although it’s still better than the shootout. But wow there was a ton of great hockey played today. Normally I don’t care much for international competition- I’d take a Stanley Cup over Olympic gold every time- but the skill level today for all teams...

The good - and bad - news is that the older you get, the more things level off. The highs aren't as high but the lows aren't as low. I'm not the man my wife married 23 years ago, and she's not the woman I married 23 years ago. And that's just fine with both of us.
