Ranking 80s Maiden albums having Bruce on vocals

    1. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son- Has been my favorite album of all time (not just Maiden) for nearly 30 years now and I don't really ever expect that to change. The entire album is ranges from great to incredible. On some days, The Evil That Men Do and Infinite Dreams are tied for my second...

Those of you that have seen 15 times or more

I've been lucky enough to see them 31 times over the years. My favorites would be - 1996, Baltimore - my first Maiden show. This was at the semi legendary Hammerjacks club in Baltimore (featured on the SIT artwork) and was an amazing experience. I found out about the show about 2 days...

Which album do you prefer: The Book Of Souls or Senjutsu?

Of the two, Book of Souls has the higher highs I'd say with If Eternity Should Fail and the title track. But there's also a lot of mediocre middling material on that album and I've never ever warmed up to liking Empire of the Clouds all that much. I just find myself liking singular moments...

    News Burning Ambition Documentary

I bought tickets to a showing in my area last night. If you are in the US, check out Fandango for local listings. It's at 6:00 PM on May 7. If you are in the DC area there are a number of locations with showings listed on this date.

Regarding the name, I'm just glad they went with something other than "____" of the Beast.

    Maiden soundalikes

I believe you are thinking of Machine Men, which do sound a bit like Maiden with a singer that does sound a great deal like mid 80s Bruce.

News Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

To me, OTGDY is a great song off of one of Maiden's best albums and seems like a song that would work well live (as opposed to something like The Prophecy) and is one of only 2 tracks they never played from Seventh Son live. Which I guess means folks think it has a shot, but I pretty much...

News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Spoiler alert - I doubt Phantom gives a shit. Tickets are already sold, what are they going to do? It's clear as day dynamic pricing was happening yesterday and it totally sucks. The whole buying experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe I should have just let The Future Past tour...

    News 18th Studio Album discussion

It's already too late, tickets have been purchased, what recourse does anyone have? It's not like they can re-do the presale. Unless FC members get some sort of merch voucher, it's all lip service. I've done FC presales going back to at least 2006 or so and this one was, by far, the worst of...

News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Yeah, ticket prices were absurd and the FC pre-sale, literally one of the few perks left from the old days, sucked for the most part. I'm going but just to one show. And even then I forked out nearly $400 for mediocre seats and parking for two tickets. I'd never pay anything near this for...

Curious now how insane the ticket prices are going to be.

News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Not as many dates as I'd hoped, but there is one (Jiffy Lube) nearby on a Friday which isn't awful. Won't get to more than one show, but that one should suffice. Shortest NA tour since, what, Final Frontier album tour? Or AMOLAD?

The third Blaze-sung Maiden album: lyrically a fusion of Silicon Messiah and BNW, but musically rooted in BNW?

They were on the CMC International label I believe at the time. I do not recall having to import Virtual XI, I bought it on the day it came out in March and it was readily available in stores.

    Bruce Dickinson

I finally got to see the Bruce solo tour show last night and had a great time. Ticked this one off the bucket list for sure. Bruce was in excellent form and he was vocally stellar all night and hit some absolute incredible notes at times. The extras - the theremin and the drums were really...

Your bottom 5 Iron Maiden albums

Aside from 17, I like all of these albums and listen to them quite often. 17. Virtual XI - 2 ok songs (Futureal and The Clansman) and that's it. I listen to this maybe once a year to see if I like any more than the last time and I never do. Just not at all for me. 16. The Final Frontier -...

Your Top 5 Iron Maiden albums

My list looks something like this. Aside from the Number 1, the order of the others can change. 1. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son -- my favorite album of all time by any artist. 2. Piece of Mind 3. Somewhere in Time 4. A Matter of Life and Death 5. Senjutsu

    Senjutsu 4th anniversary

I think it holds up much better for me than Book of Souls. I still spin it a few times a week, that freshness hasn't worn off. The only parts I'd cut are the seagulls on Darkest Hour and maybe one of the 17 intros on Death of the Celts. The subsequent tours featuring these songs were also...

    Judas Priest

All Ripper really has are the screams. I've always found his "regular" singing voice extremely off-putting. Not every song needs a high pitched wail.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Regarding event shirts - I think they peaked with the Book of Souls 2016/2017 tours and have never quite been the same quality art since then. This is likely more to do with the base Eddies per tour but a good deal of those BOS tour event shirts are some of my very favorites. I'm just glad...

Maiden or Maiden-related physical media wish list

An official reissue of the Soundhouse Tapes. I don't have the means to afford a real copy or likely end up with a bootleg, and the reissue like 20 years ago came and went incredibly fast. I wish they would do a larger reissue of this and am actually surprised they haven't done so yet.
