NOW PLAYING

I have a soft spot for this Manowar album. Return of the Warlord is my "return from inner exile to the world" song. Virtual XI should have sounded like this album. Great raw, full, powerful sound.

I think such a raw sound would have been/is fitting for the likes of TXF and NPFTD, but VXI's bright sonic sound is really fitting for its musical landscape (the same can be said for Killers, TNOTB, Powerslave, SIT, FOTD, BNW, DOD, AMOLAD, TBOS, even TFF and TXF).

Brings back memories of an old friend.
He was heavy into Ozzy era Sabbath and we´d drove to metal gigs and rock pubs. He kept his CD collection in the trunk of his Ford and blasted them on our trips. This MAnOwaR album - together with The Triumph Of Steel - was one of the soundtracks of a great time.

Hmm, I agree about The X Factor. With such a heavy and powerful sound, it would be hailed as a masterpiece. Very modern sounding dark album. In that scenario, it could compete (+/-) with Bruce's Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding albums.

You have to listen Lord of steel. The bass sound like an infinite fart. The whole album is a mess. I would love to know how they did that album because everything sounds wrong
