I really enjoy Adrian’s solo work in general, with the first Psycho Motel album (State Of Mind) being the only so-so one, IMO.

Primal Rock Rebellion reigns supreme for me, followed by Psycho Motel's Welcome to the World and State of Mind, then Smith/Kotzen, and the A.S.a.P. album last (but still good).
 
Staying with "When She's Gone", it's interesting that Adrian uses very similar licks and melodic fills like he did on the slower parts of Sea of Madness and Stranger in a Strange Land. Since he wrote these songs around the same time, it's not that surprising, but an interesting little detail.
