A textbook on how to write catchy (power) metal. Stratovarius vibe in the epic-sounding intro, galloping verses, one of the most memorable choir-like choruses, solid riffing, cool solo. Overall a classic song.

I saw that band with hammerfall in i think their debut albums. Are they still playing or is tobias alone with avantasia. Hammerfall now are boring

That album has an incredible sound. One of their best ,the old ones sounds a bit confusing and dificult to listen. But this one could be like metallica -metallica but in the black metal scene.

My favourite of the FOTD album.

Notably, it's a song penned solely by Harris, from a time when he still remembered that not every idea needed eight minutes and three atmospheric build-ups.

Clocking in at just 4:37, Childhood's End feels surprisingly epic without being long. It's melodic, harmonious, and tightly constructed. A lot of emotion and atmosphere packed into a relatively short running time.
