The Numbers are reporting the same metric so it's not just Box Office Mojo.

As for there being no published US figures, that sometimes happens with limited releases. It's ultimately up to the distributor (Universal) to release them. I assume they will probably once the theatrical run has passed.

The assumption would be that it probably took a million or so in its weekend in the states. Pretty good numbers for a niche music documentary.

I know, it's niche and not so spectacular as it initially looked. I'm wondering if Box Office Mojo will add more figures from the forthcoming screenings at all. As you assumed, finally we should have some 2 mln USD, including data from all territories. I think the screenings of a brand new live show would be more popular than this documentary.
 
The movie finally came out in Germany, just got back from the premiere. I have quite a few gripes as far as editing and filmmaking in general go, but overall it was a good time. I had fun, and that's the most important thing.

Though, I can't let go of that one: When they were talking about having now three guitars at their disposal, they showed footage of RiR's Brave New World. The part right after the solos with the triple harmony. Yet the sound was the solos right before that part. What the hell was up with that? I get that solos are flashier, but that's the one part where they could've kept sound and video synced lol
 
I saw it a couple of days ago. Fine moment, but nothing special. I didn't like the scenario the movie was built around: the unstoppable rise to world domination, the sudden fall, and the resurrection. A bit splimplistic. And so little is told about the music itself, it's ridiculous. I enjoyed listening to Javier Bardem, Gene and Chuck D., the kind of guy I would have never expected there. And as always, I hate when songs are cut.
I have a question about the sountrack: I think I've heard Maiden isolated tracks. Am I wrong?

Just watched the film, not many footage that we have seen before i think one of the book of souls tour,one of the legscy of the beast very cool and footage and interview from world slavery tour. And something that i rhought that was bruce who told nicko to play more simple when he was sick and was harris. Anyway good to see a film of the band.

Yah, definite isolated bass tracks playing at several times. Greater Good was there, I'm nearly sure.

I'm sure I heard a string version of an early days song at one point, couple of instruments, cello and something maybe. I wonder if it's an existing version or something recorded especially for the film.
 
And the "incident" about bruce not singing at wembley arena? If its in 1990 there is a bootleg called war machine and im not sure if they played in 1992 or 1993. I thinkt it wasnt true at all...

No,the guy said that steve spoke with the guy in charge of the monitors to know if he was singing at wembley arena. And said that he realized there that the band was not ok. In 1992 and 1993 they didnt play there and in 1990 i have the bootleg and i think doesnt happen that. And in 1990 he was happy to be there

Another curious quotes its about the reunion bruce saying that he wanted to go back to the big shows. He did great shows on his solo career and one of the best a saw was in a venue with less than 800 people. And maiden in usa playing in front of 500 people


Edit: they DID PLAY in wembley arena in 1993. My bad lol.

He wanted to play in front of large audiences. That makes sense.

Both,but maiden in europe and in south america were doing fine with a dark album and another not good album. And bruce with 2 superb album and one of them and absolute gem he was playing in front of less than 1000 people. I remember when he rejoined he said something like " i didnt realize how big maiden was"
 
5944 tickets sold in France, almost 4000 Italy, guess another $110,000 equivalent. Germany no news but think would do close to UK?
