News Burning Ambition Documentary

Apologies if it would turn out to be off-topic or derailing the thread.
When's the last time any of you went to the cinema? I saw Gladiator II back in 2024

3 weeks ago. I do not go to the cinema as often as I used to because of a combination of factors, namely family responsibilities and a lack of a local independent cinema screening the type of films I am interested in.

I go once a month, Thai wife likes dodgy Thai horror movies. Sunday afternoon, we tend to be only 2 people in cinema.

Waiting on movie tickets to go on sale in Bangkok, one of the 2 main cinema chains here knows nothing about movie, other didn't reply to my email.

Capn Harris and crew spent last summer complaining about Maiden, self entitled whinging about not recording an hour of every gig and the set list. Sheriff must have missed that.

Yeah, I passed on watching those vlogs pretty much as I think RFYL is fantastic. But IIRC they preferred the LOTB style stage production and not the big screen. I think being an artist she was concerned about the possible use of AI. If they had a beef with the setlist I missed that. Still they obviously love Maiden.

If stuff like that would be enough to keep them out of the documentary then 99% of this forum would have not a chance in Hell to make it lol.

This only reinforces that they’re not involved simply because they agree with everything the band does or act as blind fanatics, but because they resonate with a segment of Maiden fans, especially younger ones. If anything, their presence adds credibility to the documentary, even though I highly doubt it will include any real criticism of the band.

Personally I can’t stand Capnharris. She along with a few others on the official forum are just desperate wannabes doing anything they can just stand out and be revered as uber fans.

I totally went off her when she started ranting about the screens and Maiden using AI.

I’m not gonna derail the thread by going off topic but AI is here to stay, fact! Its use is just gonna get bigger and bigger. I see artists all the time moaning about it and boycotting bands that use it but as much as I feel for people who chose that area as a career I’m sorry but times are changing and you either adapt or find a different career path.

Our history is littered with advancements that have impacted peoples jobs in all sorts of areas so I don’t see why artists are so up in arms that they feel so hard done by as if they are part of the only industry to ever have to change with the times. Rant over.

I really can’t imagine that their videos weren’t scrutinized closely before they were included in the documentary. Otherwise, that would be unusually sloppy work.
