Best performances of a song

Wow, this is a brutal version of Icarus! Bruce sings it better than in 1997, AOB tour. Early 2000s voice, such power! The best version of his live vocals on this song. Studio quality indeed.
Goddam Steve Stubborn Harris for not including this song in the list between 1999-2017. Imagine this song and vocal performance on Rock in Rio. It would have been considered a legendary performance.

There are so many songs they should have done when Bruce came back. His voice was on point.

I think they did a good job since bruce was back with the setlist very different than the 90s that they played almost thr same. But this song lost since 85 i think. What happen with it?

It could've been included...but it would've been played at a ludicrous tempo and probably sounded half as good at best with Bruce skipping or shortening lines etc. to get a breath in, and it might've even gotten dropped mid-tour. Those years spent not playing the song is what gave both parties perspective to be mature about the tempo issue.

I think 1999 speed was ok. And i enjoy current speed the only thing i miss is bruce moving jumping but if is amazing how can he sing all those dificult songs in his 66? Aces high at final enchorus apart.

Yeah, songs like Icarus, Still Life, Infinite Dreams, Seventh Son, Stranger In A Strange Land, Long Distance Runner, No Prayer, Wasting Love, Be Quick... played earlier. I'm not mentioning other SIT songs because he did them great during TFP tour.

Agreed. Setlist selection gets better from 2008 in my opinion.

Not in terms of old vs new songs but in terms of flow, balance, variety within sets.

BNW setlist needed something more I think, especially in terms of flow.

Yes i dont find rock in rio or bnw tour setlist that interesting. Flight 666 or night of the dead has better setlist. But 6 Bnw songs plus classics and sign of thr crosd

I saw the BNW set list played about six times between 2000 and the Clive shows in 2002. Loved the shows but the set list pacing just felt off in the middle.
