They are free to believe that if they want.
On the other hand we have camera footage for every show of the tour, ranging from potato quality to pretty damn decent, and Dave is practically glowing in most of them. He's all smiles - even more than usual.
Not only that, he's completely on fire and his solos were highlights for each song.
Who knows? Maybe he's not enjoying touring, but then he's a fantastic actor hiding it under amazing performances and great energy every night.
Yes that long sustained notes during the solos because he didnt remember or hu just invent in the momennt. I realized too he impruved last tourYeah. There was time when I was thinking that Dave is the one who doesn't enjoy playing anymore. But since LotB I think that I was wrong.
Dave has sounded much more inspired on the last couple of tours. I think from 2022 onwards he was more motivated.I think he plays the solos closer to the albums than he used to in the previous years, no? It would mean he sat down on his own and put in some work, it could only be a sign of increased motivation.
I remember a video during fear of the dark in a big show and he was enjoying it like everDave is the MVP of this tour. No way he's not happy performing. He seems like a happy man.

I do think similar to say Deep Purple with their never ending touring and album cycles, it gave them a big rest and post covid they are on fire again so I think that's been the case for a alot of bands and members. It's given them that itchI agree. It kind of reminds me of how much more Bruce has been out there talking about Maiden (well, marketing Maiden) from 2015 onwards and has, to some extent, been seemingly lot more upfront with a lot of things. Like, he didn't do nearly as much interviews and such promo before The Book of Souls & the cancer discourse, although I suppose the overall change in the media field is also a factor there... But I mean, there hasn't really been the old slightly "grumpy/umm i don't know it's a great sounding record, yeah" Bruce around anymore, as he's been very inspired and clearly very excited when talking about basically everything around Maiden and his own projects, whether sometimes talking rubbish or not, heh.
Anyway, I wonder if the COVID break was somewhat similar, although obviously not nearly as serious, moment of realization for Dave about the speciality & sacred nature of every tour, album & single gig they've got left in them.
Just a thought. Probably overthinking it.![]()
He was so soooooo good when I saw them in Stockholm. Every solo was silky smooth and he (and everyone to be fair) seemed to really enjoy themselves on stage.Dave is the MVP of this tour. No way he's not happy performing. He seems like a happy man.
