Kiss - Alive

50 years old today!

Call it a scam and bluff, but 'Alive!' is everything a live LP should be. They have repaired and patched the recordings, but it really hits hard! So great to hear Kiss's first era with brutal sound instead of the somewhat tinny sound that afflicted their first three studio albums.

Really good and solid album indeed. The bonus songs, at least 3 out of the 4 as well. Big return to form. There are some not interesting or that good songs (at least 1 or 2), but the last 2 Reunion albums are some of their best as a whole piece imo. Which is great. It's that good.

These pair of albums work great:

Helloween - Giants & Monsters
Master Of The Rings - The Time Of The Oath
Keeper 1 - Keeper 2

Walls Of Jericho is its own diamond.

They had a ''heavier phase'' from the early 2000s to 2010, but the albums weren't strong as whole pieces. We probably can find a pair from that period too. Or the first 2 90's albums. 2013 and 2015 are a bit different, I feel.
