NOW PLAYING

Iron Maiden - Senjutsu (album's anniv)

Despite its different approach, this song always gives me so much fresh vibe. It sounds so epic and impactful. Listening to all these new albums by older bands, I really really want another one by Maiden soon. Pleaseeee.

- btw, the original title ''The Great Wall'' would have been awesome.

I completely missed that Senjutsu had 4 years yesterday. Was too occupied with the Mogwai concert I went to, so I'm just catching up with the album now at work.

Same headphones and also accompanied with some tea - just like the first time

I was listening to this one at the gym one day. As the chorus plays, I look around and see a dude on the floor doing crunches for his life. That sight paired with the chorus of this song couldn't keep me from laughing. Unfortunately, it wasn't a small chuckle or one big brief HA either - I giggled for at least 15 minutes. Every time I hear this tune and the chorus, I break out in giggles.

I still think about that dude and hope that I didn't offend him - though I probably did.

Iron Maiden - The Book Of Souls (album's anniv) - and then: Bruce - Eternity Has Failed (I really miss solos in the Maiden version) :rocker:
^Imagine if the song called ''Nightmares'' is at this level... I hope we hear it someday, but I feel it would be better than Clown or Sorrows.

Bruce's written songs in 2014:

Eternity
Nightmares
Rain
Resurrection Men
Wounds
Mistress
Speed (great combo with Eternity, like Stratego, love it)
Death Or Glory
Empire

one whole album. I like his short rockers.

Imagine if Steve hadn't discovered his demo idea for the song from 2010 (like Wild Wind), the album would have had a different title track and visuals (I guess Eternity is the other potential title track from the album and for Maiden). Stronger? I really doubt it. Both TBOS and SJ are perfect themes for Maiden. One of the most epic title tracks and openers! Like the next title track. Classic Reunion Maiden. Love songs that sound epic (Valley and one of the most special songs that is Empire are the same). As with SJ, TBOS has aged really well for me and I can say that these albums are one of my favorite and strong pairings. Also both could have had spectacular album covers/booklets. Unlike SJ, TBOS don't need another shorter song that much. Still, 4 great short rockers from both, they have it.
