RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

The tour is expected to be the usual hits (singles, staples) with big new production, but the must-haves are 6-10(at most). There are 6-8 spotsfor other stuff. This tour will indeed be the last time for some of the 80's songs (early days (Dave's comment), SIT, some POM stuff), this time around, like most of the 90's and Reunion era songs - and we always get a few surprises, so it won't be the most standard Maiden set. Some of the (80's) songs not played in 10 years could be viewed as ''deep cuts''. For the next tours, they just need to play the big 5 classics and that would be enough. The rest are either new songs or popular songs/semi-classics. I feel like they could do a Part 2.

They've been planning this tour for a while, so I'm sure they'll come up with something interesting like the last tours. I can complain about the same old classics, but when you see the band live, even on Youtube, it's something else. Hits for a reason and a big smile on the face. The new stage will make them more interesting. This is probably the ultimate Hits tour for them, with the 80's material on focus again. They should deliver after the last few tours.
I don't know. You could argue that these are the "must-haves" for a pure greatest hits tour from the first nine albums:

The Number of the Beast
Run to the Hills
Iron Maiden
The Trooper
Fear of the Dark
Wasted Years
2 Minutes to Midnight
Aces High
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Can I Play With Madness
The Evil That Men Do
Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter
Flight of Icarus

So not much room for deep cuts, especially since these not even cover all the charted single releases and Phantom + Running Free seem to be all but confirmed. Add Killers and that's 16 song set right there.

Can I play with madness and Flight of Icarus, realistically, won't be played. So, there is room for a surprise or two. So, let's say all the other songs you mentioned will be in the setlist. These are 13 songs. Then you add an epic, like Rime, probably Powerslave and Killers and that's 16 songs. There is room for one more song and it could be a surprise or they just pick Revelations or Clairvoyant or something. It will be fine.

If somebody told you that you could see Rime, Powerslave, Phantom, Killers and maybe a surprise song live in the same setlist, wouldn't you be excited? Maybe more deep cuts would be ideal for hardcore fans, but still this setlist can't go wrong and we know that Maiden, especially in the last decade or so, always pick some interesting song to play live. They won't just play the greatest hits.

It seems this time we won't see photos of all/more band members, or leak/hear anything before the opening night of the tour (who knows, maybe in the last two days before the show). Jan's the man. Or even a short like an announcement pre-tour video/with Simon, curious. The short videos during the tour (including pre-tour one after the first night), for sure.

I think Wasted Years, Aces, Madness, Icarus and Daughter (because of Bruce's comment) are not sure for the tour, so. 11 hits at most is my guess. Both Rime and Powerslave, both Running Free and Sanctuary? Song from SIT? And also, is a song like Clairvoyant a deep cut? More yes than no, I guess.

^SBIT tour 2009 leg was more or less this.

A setlist that can't go wrong indeed, but let's see the amount of ''interesting'' songs in it. At least 3 (to 5) dc is kind of expected. With a longer setlist. Bruce wants to play different cuts (he and Nicko said so last year; and he would favor Rime and Seventh Son over Land) and he is responsible for the setlists now. Steve, we can't know but he likes to play almost any song, as we know.

last few days I was thinking about new setlist and my hot takes are:

Opener will be Number (but my wish is Be quick , of course)

They will not play any song from Somewhere and No Prayer.

They will play Infinite Dreams

There is no place for Aces High (but this is not "hot take" this is sure thing !

100% certain

Iron Maiden
Phantom of the Opera
The Number of the Beast
Run to the Hills
The Trooper
Fear of the Dark

Very, very likely

Guys, I figured out the tour:
So they will both do something they never have done before, and have a fantastic set-list for the fans (according to interviews)
Therefore: Half the band will play one song, while the other half plays another song at the same time.
I believe maiden have never done this;), and that way they could play 35 songs instead of 17-18 songs, so everyone will be happy with the set-list!

They could pull the Savatage trick and put half the band in one stage and half the band in another stage. :p :p :p

I asked ChatGPT to make a possible setlist for the next tour and that's the result.
It's actually so realistic
I did same too, but with Gemini by using deep research function (articles, interviews, forums etc.). This is the result :-) (but it lack something from NPFTD and songs like 'killers' or phantom so, yeah, AI).

I think we're overthinking this a bit. Leading with our hearts as rabid devotees of the band rather than our minds.

If this indeed is an historical retrospective "greatest hits" set, the list kind of suggests itself. We know that Maiden has more than 17-18 great songs across the first nine albums alone so they're choosing from an abundance of riches, so to speak.

We know at least 9-10 of the songs already simply because they're staples and/or have been teased in advertisements. Some songs we're omitting WILL be played, I'm guessing. Not because I may have seen them perform it numerous times since my first Maiden show (Powerslave tour, Irvine Meadows, July 5, 1985) but because of that kid who's finally able to see their favorite band and will be absolutely gutted if they don't see "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner," likely for the last time.

I could be wrong, of course, and I'm not chastising anyone. We're excited and anxious for the new tour, Simon's debut, the amazing stage show Bruce has promised, all of it.

The trouble I'm having is whittling down the twenty some-odd songs I've identified into a proper set. I do think "Icarus" will be played. How do you play a greatest hits show without including "Two Minutes To Midnight" or "Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter"..? Does "Wasting Love" get included?!?

The songs I think are locks, in no particular order:

Iron Maiden
The Trooper
Fear Of The Dark
The Number Of The Beast
The Phantom Of The Opera
Run To The Hills
Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
Sanctuary
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter
Killers
Flight Of Icarus
Powerslave
Die With Your Boots On

That's fourteen right there. Any of those could be dropped in favor of something else. Under strong consideration for inclusion:

Infinite Dreams
The Clairvoyant
Running Free
Be Quick Or Be Dead
Can I Play With Madness?
Wrathchild
Alexander The Great
22 Acacia Avenue

I didn't even include "2M2 Midnight," "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son," "Children Of The Damned" or "No Prayer For The Dying." And there are absolutely others that could make the set.

Whatever it turns out to be, there may be disappointments but I don't believe there will be any filler songs during which one can go to the head or beer line without missing anything.

Hallowed is absolutely getting played on a greatest hits tour, come on now. Meanwhile I don't think Wasted Years or Powerslave honestly qualify for the likely category at all. We had one hint about the latter which was still pretty vague, and the former just was the last encore of a tour focusing on the album its on, but that spot will be taken by RTTH on this one like LOTB before it, so I think it's pretty certainly out. I doubt they'll play anything from SiT for specifically that reason - they literally just did a whole tour over it.

They tried this multiple times with H and Nick during the last tour.

Ι don't know why ROTAM is very possible and Powerslave possible. We have a Powerslave hint, at least. Also, I don't know how Killers is more possible than Wrathchild for example. The rest are spot on.
