Even if the album isn't my thing, I'm still surprised about the many negative comments it gets on the Iron Maiden Facebook page.
Sure, it's hard rock, but the separation to metal fans is not that clear-cut and these are fans of Maiden and their members posting there.
Metal fans can often be the worse culprits of accepting music outside of their usual parameters. It’s just a tribal thing, as they have apparently been persecuted so long for their music tastes…

Sorry for the massive generalisation and sarcasm.

In this new interview, Adrian said some interesting things like:

- he likes to be creative and try to write better and ''different'' material.
- he can imagine the intro of ''Darkside'' being used for a Maiden song.
- he should have promoted ASAP more back then.
- he's separating the Maiden and SK material in different files. Like now? Hopefully.
- he said he wants SK to grow and play bigger shows if possible. He thinks the songs will work great live and it's a matter of logistics.
- about not playing with Bruce solo now, he said they are both in Maiden so it would as if they are drifting away from the band, which doesn't feel right. Bruce wants to do his own thing and wants to work with whoever he wants, he feels the same, but who knows in the future they might do something.

Yeah, it's odd, although it's not metal. I guess the fans really want new Maiden music, like with the other old bands who have been releasing more frequently since 2010.

Black Light/White Noise is a terrific studio effort. It's a pity most of the Maiden fans comtletely pissed it off. Sales were poor, even though we realized the S/K release was just for declared fans. It's a pity.

It's a very solid quality release, but what to do, metal vs rock. Declared fans, but at the same time it's mainstream rock, right. The albums seems to have done well on the charts , and has positive reviews.

Also, according to one comment - the album has 2 bonus songs for the Japanese CD (like the old days). Is that true? The debut didn't have. The songs are apparently called ''All The Way Down'' and ''The Grind''.
