RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I never thought I would leave a Maiden show early to avoid a song, but that is what I did on 2022. I didn’t want to see Aces High. I couldn’t have my lasting memory of that song be spoiled by a lacklustre performance. I still don’t know what they were thinking on that tour.

2018 was immense though. Surely they won’t use the song again…
If they really want to use their inflatable plane, which is a reasonable quip, they could just play Tailgunner instead.

And we all know you would leave before the first notes of Tailgunner are played... :D
That song is far from a million bucks, but rather Budget Maiden. I'd still stick around, as it's one of the only passable songs off that album -Who knows, maybe it'd soar live. Playying Hooks in You for an encore is a surefire way to get me out of there though.

If any NPFTD song is the last encore, I'll run to the exit to avoid the crowds. It won't be though. I still can hope that they will play no NPFTD songs.
Aces high, imo, will he skipped. Same as Flight of Icarus. They were highlights of the first legacy tour. They did them as good as possible. Then the 2nd leg of the tour came and we got Aces low as an encore. Flight was still great, but I don't think they can stage it better than that.

Man, I'm the total opposite. It's not my favorite album, but it has been neglected for so long that it would be really refreshing to hear some of those songs live again, especially with this probably being the only chance they will ever get. Realistically I only expect Bring Your Daughter at best, but I'd be ecstatic over a second song, even if it's freaking Tailgunner.

It's kinda funny to think that one of their absolute mega hits is the title track of one of their least popular albums. I'd guess that if FOTD weren't such a juggernaut they would've marketed this tour as only going up to SSOASS.

100%. It would have been better for me and that's why I still hope they will just skip NPFTD. It's been neglected for sure, but for good reason imo. It would be refreshing to hear the title track, but Daughter, Tailgunner etc are super boring for me. Also, if they skip it, we might hear Still Life or To Tame a Land or any other deep cut from the earlier albums because there will be more room for it. Fear of the Dark, on the other hand, is inevitable and tracks like BQOBD or ATSS will be fine additions, even though I'm not a fan of that album too. It has more options, that are decent.

Is crazy to play aces high at the end of the show. I think they did it in 2012 too. And in both tours bruce was tired to sing that song at the end.

Agreed. Don't rule out the title track though, Bruce really likes it and even the casual fans enjoy it, like Daughter. 1 song from NPFTD at most imo. Inflatable plane for Tailgunner, very nice, or the screens can create a good atmosphere for it.

It depends on whether they have/had the thought of ''honoring'' the early 90's album with some cuts at some point (LAD '92 style). Like the Blaze era with LOTB tour.

^The 80's rare cuts will always have a chance on future tours, while this tour is most likely the only/and because of the theme chance for the early 90's songs. No Prayer has its moments, not quite like some Fear songs, but for sure. Fresh sets are always welcome, so I can't agree with the neglect.

I'm also curious to know how they'll approach the Reunion songs on future tours, even for new album tours.

I'm afraid there won't be any future tours.

I have to say I don't really understand the aversion to the band playing songs from an album they haven't touched since 2003. I would be happy to hear Maiden play any song that hasn't been played in 20+ years (or ever). Alexander the Great is a good example of this actually, as it's a song I don't love, but it was exciting to hear it finally played live.

It's because No Prayer is, by far, Maiden at its worst. That being said, I wouldn't mind The Tailgunner, and ...Daughter would be cool, I guess.
Almost any No Prayer track being played is a waste.

Yea i don't agree with that. If the idea is to commemorate the band's early history by spanning the first 9 albums, it makes sense for each of the 9 albums to be represented in some form of fashion. Most of the songs are under 5 minutes, so I don't see how it's a big deal to include one.

As long as it's the good one, or the single decent one.

They should just played the album in its entirety, it's short enough that half the complainers would be stuck in line first at the beer tent and then for the toilets for the duration.

There are a few songs that would go down well live especially if the setlist is as oriented toward the first few albums as has been heavily suggested by the promo. Honestly songs from Fear of the Dark and No Prayer are going to fit better with the first two albums than the proggy expeditions from Powerslave/Somewhere in Time/Seventh Son imo.
