That's not quite right. On one of the recent tour video where the other band members spoke to the camera, Simon had a short segment in that as well.
I guess they simply wanted someone who doesn't rock the boat, just does what he's told and that's it.
Yeah, 2 in America was 4 in Japan and 3 in America was 6 in Japan.
The original 2 (NES), 3 (NES) and 5 (SNES) were originally only released in Japan and only came over to the West later with the PS1 ports and afterwards the GBA remakes.
SSOASS is the only one in my top 5. The first four are among my least favourite albums (still great, but I prefer the later material). SIT has great highs but abysmal lows (imo) and Powerslave has quite a few issues as well.
As I clarified in the edit, that was simply my opinion. People are free to discuss whatever they want.
That's not what I said either :)
The whole point of the discussion wasn't that Nicko fluctuates. He always did that, live AND in the studio. The point was that in 2023/2024 he fluctuated far...

Kinda? It's actually a very interesting concept. It's not the exact same thing as the phone game. It basically takes the same story, music and characters and puts them in an entire new single player game.
I'm not the biggest fan of the 2DHD aesthetic some of these "smaller" Square Enix games...
It's a reimagining of the phone game Brave Exvius. That's why it has this jarring "summon protagonists from other titles" mechanic.
It's still pretty cool that this will come out, but I would've preferred an entirely original release.
Janick, easily. Listen to the main riff of Montsegur. Or the instrumental section in The Book Of Souls.
Adrian is a close second (The distorted riff in Lord of Light or the verse riff in Days of Future Past).
I don't think Dave is actually known for his riff-writing.
Is that what I wrote? No, it's not.
Edit: Less flippant response, that wasn't my attempt to shut down discussion. That was simply my opinion and how I view this.
Aces High obviously is an atrocity. But comparing 2025/2026 to 2022/2023/2024 the former is the clear winner imo. Or on which of those years have they sounded better? Note, I didn't say "better than 2019", I said "since".
That's the thing though, Nicko used to be better about it, but on TFP he...
As I said, unlike some other "objective facts" thrown around the last couple of days, I can substantiate my claims once I'm back on my computer ;)
I never said that I prefer Simon's tempos or performances. I'm stating the blindingly obvious, that he's more consistent than Nicko was during TFP...
