I don’t have a problem with the setlist, even Aces High. We got Rime, Seventh Son, Phantom, and Powerslave on the same show, plus a bunch of hits. I’ll take it.
But I didn’t react well to the drum sound. It’s just so different from Nicko. I’ll give it time to grow on me. I hope it will.
And every single year they were active, with a tour and/or album release, barring force majeure years (Bruce's illness, Covid lockdowns). The reunion era line-up was the ultimate Maiden line-up, a perfect blend of 80s, 90s, and new millenium Maiden. Best metal band ever.
I’ve never filmed anything at a concert, and I never will. I get in the moment with the music.
BUT I am grateful for the (skillful) filmers out there. I’ve certainly enjoyed many of their YouTube videos of Maiden and other bands.
I hope he plays Eternity Has Failed. I don’t care that it’s a “Maiden song”; it’s the best song on The Mandrake Project album, in my opinion. Plus it’s different enough from the Maiden version. Play it, Bruce!
I was at the Baltimore show in November 2024, and the band was on fire. In all videos I've seen of the band on the 2024 tour they sounded great, even better than 2023. I really hope they release Nicko's final show in Brazil on Blu-ray or at least some professionally produced video release.
The Baltimore show was amazing. Bruce was in incredible form. This band is a machine.
Bruce said it was the best crowd on the US tour and that they’d see us in 2 years.
Biggest crowd pops of the night were for Fear of the Dark, The Trooper, and Wasted Years.
