I can't recall, did we get as many reviews for BOS as we got for Senjutsu before the release of these albums?

He only sang a capella the chorus in Greece some years back with Maiden (to the audience's demand)!

My only complain is that he rarely uses an open hi-hat, in the reunion era, during the verses which adds to the dynamics of a song. Then again, this is to my liking.

Being a drummer I agree. The foot technique he uses also plays a role.

It is not a special pedal, it is just the way one adjusts it. Of course, the drummer, the brand and the price play a significant role to be able to do this.

The thing is to be able to hear clearly the vocals wherever you listen to the song. Whether it is through cheap headphones or expensive amps. So, yes the vocals are low in in the mix on Stratego especially.

The hyper-hype was never a good thing for an album itself nor for the fans.

Is anyone around here on a Priest forum or any other big band and witness such a diversity and tension about a new coming album? :p

Stop arguing already. The album is coming in a week and you will forget all of this. I am waiting for my pre-order and I intend to enjoy it to the full, like the good old days when I had to wait outside the shop to buy the damn thing.

I was an old Rage fan, since I first listened to Perfect Man, sometime in the late 90s. Now, I am a proud owner of the Refuge years box set which contains all five albums (plus a few extras) of the classic line-up Peavy, Manni, Chris. So, this week belongs to classic Rage!

At the very beginning of the last chorus. This whole part has not been been recorded with the rest of the track.

One thing that annoys me on Stratego is the cut/paste part after the oriental break near the end. It is clear especially when you put on your headphones. In other news, after the latest review, I can't wait for the album!

Also, I think it is not a good idea to record a song after its completion, because the overall album sound will differ (as it is recorded in different times and it is difficult to have the same gear/mic instalment).

Most people say the sound is bad, not only here, but in other sites/forums/fb post etc. But the band loves it. Isn'it strange? Personally, I think the sound is more clear than before and also the drums sound lovely (the kick drum is very organic sounding) but the final product is a little...
