    Blaze Bayley

They would have been barely a month after Blaze got the gig, I suspect that Maiden probably just decided there wasn't any rush

Who's song credit will you look forward to hearing most on a possible next album?

I'd be fairly sure most of the collaborations between song writers now is the guitarist has pre written music and then either goes to Steve or Bruce for lyrics, in Steve's case he might then throw a riff or melody in or alter the arrangement. So a lot of talk about particular pairings is moot...

Which is of the guitarrists in Maiden is your favorite riff/rhythm writer?

The real magic of it is that no one else plays it with the swagger of Maiden, which is why you'll always see it referred to as the 2 Minutes to Midnight riff, even though that wasn't the first version

Should Iron Maiden sell on-demand CDs of their live shows?

I got a free flac download of Metallica from the Hardwired gig I was at as part of the ticket price. That would work

Who's song credit will you look forward to hearing most on a possible next album?

Each to their own, but I'd rather listen to a song and form judgement on it regardless of who did or didn't write it.

Should Iron Maiden sell on-demand CDs of their live shows?

I would like a decent one from every tour, I wouldn't go down the path of buying every gig

    The Concert Thread

Saw Sepultura's last European show (allegedly) last night. There was a few other bands on the bill, I'd never seen any of them before. I missed the openers but they were followed by Sacred Reich, Bloodbath, Biohazard and then Sepultura. Sacred Reich were great, good sound and mostly the hits...

Leftover Songs that Should have been Included on the Album

Without doubt All in Your Mind and Kill Me Ce Soir are the best side B of a Maiden single

Which album actually has the worst production?

Man on the Edge too, it's the usual trick of putting a bit more effort into the tracks you think are going to be singles. Compare MOTE kicking in to the aforementioned non-kick-in of the "standing alone in the wind and rain" part of SOTC

Which album actually has the worst production?

Original post is spot on, word for word. Only other contender is VXI. The first album is great for those songs, and if Steve hadn't spent 46 years moaning about it I don't think it would be being brought up. I also think NPFTD sounds fine for those songs. The other albums I'd nitpick about are...

Which Maiden album had the biggest "grower" effect on you on the long run?

The X Factor Took a few years before I came to appreciate it. I won't say it flew up the rankings table, but there's the bones of a good record there, and I think if you had have recorded it with Shirley and the current line up then it would be up to the standards of the reunion era albums.
