Seems a bit expensive tbh. I assume the standing is going to be split into front/rear so that 127.50 doesn't even get you particularly close. most likely. And it seems like it doesn't even get you in to see what's on Friday unless you pay another 45 for camping or another, more expensive accom...
Knebworth's just a lot of faff isn't it. I'm not really the person who wants to spend two nights living out of a tent to see five bands, only two or three who I particularly care about seeing and the most important of which I *just* saw five rows from the front of the pit at a massive stadium...
I love Maiden, but I saw this show multiple times last year. Do I really want to go camp out and stand in a field to probably watch a TV screen of it? On the other hand, who knows how long they will be doing it. Hmm.
As someone just south of London, why do I have the distinct feeling that the UK show is gonna wind up being more awkward for me to get to than just hopping up and on the Eurostar?
With Wembley and Hyde Park ruled out, it does make me wonder if Maiden are playing coy with the UK because they're, as they say, doing "something special for our loyal UK fans including an extension of our Eddie’s Dive Bar concept" by making their own one-day festival or something.
Yondr pouches for Paris really makes me want to make the trip over. It was so good for Ghost. But them playing coy about what's going on in London is.... Interesting...
That specific line is a joke about how they'll be back for the encore, he does it every night but flubbed the wording a bit this time. "We'll be back, but it won't be 50 years" - because it'll be about five minutes.
Band was on great form apart from a few minor snafus (again, is it really Maiden if they don't fudge a couple of things). Crowd in Front Standing was passionate with a small subset being absolutely insufferable and inconsiderate of those around them which was a bother but otherwise a great...
I hope the Match day Programme is available online and/or after the show. I want one real bad but it will *not* survive 5 hours in Front Standing in 32+ degrees heat - it'll be a crumpled up used mop.
Bruce sang Aces High down lower this evening in Birmingham, honestly in the room I didn't have a problem with it, he does a good job setting up the crowd to go high and then harmonising with the room. He largely seems better from his cold (thank goodness) but if he sticks with this it's fine, I...
