Knebworth's just a lot of faff isn't it. I'm not really the person who wants to spend two nights living out of a tent to see five bands, only two or three who I particularly care about seeing and the most important of which I *just* saw five rows from the front of the pit at a massive stadium...

I love Maiden, but I saw this show multiple times last year. Do I really want to go camp out and stand in a field to probably watch a TV screen of it? On the other hand, who knows how long they will be doing it. Hmm.

As someone just south of London, why do I have the distinct feeling that the UK show is gonna wind up being more awkward for me to get to than just hopping up and on the Eurostar?

With Wembley and Hyde Park ruled out, it does make me wonder if Maiden are playing coy with the UK because they're, as they say, doing "something special for our loyal UK fans including an extension of our Eddie’s Dive Bar concept" by making their own one-day festival or something.
