An observation, after the Jackson got its pickguard changed, the original brass volume knob was replaced with a white Fender Strat one, probably after Somewhere Back in Time tour.

Yeah, that was the configuration of that guitar until 2008. That year it got a signature HSS white pickguard

About the old Lados. Grey Lady is a drop D guitar now (used on RTTH, TNOTB, IM and FOTD) and the black Lado is a backup for the new one.

Well, Adrian recorded the entire Piece of Mind album on a black Gibson Melody Maker, probably Bruce recorded the song with Adrian’s Goldtop Les Paul…
