    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

I think we kinda ended up averaging around Aces Okay last year too, after some serious Aces Lows due to Bruce getting sick mid-tour and having to basically sing the entire song with alternate melodies and a lower register. Still think Adrian should sing backing vocals on the second part of the...

    Dreams about Maiden?

I got one, from back in 2018 before the LOTB shows started. I was at the gig and to my eternal surprise they opened with Caught Somewhere in Time with a weird, elaborate stage that didn't really fit the theme. I woke up thinking yeah right, as if that'll ever happen. Turns out I was five years...

The biggest disaster show Maiden ever did?

I dunno if there's an '82 but we do have this hilarious one from '84 (apparently they were drinking before the show because it was somebody's birthday, support act's bassist or something): I recall there was an eerily similar fuck up in Hallowed last year which is when I first found out about...

Senjutsu as the opening song kinda proved to me they made the right call opening with Man on the Edge rather than Sign of the Cross back in '95/'96.

In the nicest way possible: I'm sorry for your ears, or rather lack thereof.

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

It's bizarre to think 15 years ago Maiden actually made the sensible choice of moving The Talisman up the set, because it's a bitch of song to sing and Bruce was struggling with it. They also didn't perform RTTH as the last encore because it was too demanding as the last song of the night...

The biggest disaster show Maiden ever did?

This one's a classic since he did the same exact thing on the opening night of Somewhere on Tour.

I wish he'd tighten it down a bit, it has so much wash it tends to get lost in the mix rather than cutting through in uptempo songs like AH. That and the toms being tuned low are probably the two things I've picked up that really make the sound muddier overall than it should be.

I don't really get the setlist complaints. It's not an all-timer hardcore set but it does combine the big retrospective tours into one convenient package (with only really one genuinely questionable song choice) without going full casual-only and now including two long-requested rarities. My own...

Adrian, Janick and Dave's guitars and Steve's basses

I was about to complain about H still using whatever ancient 80s technology for switching sound considering the incredible audible delay when he goes to the solo sound in Infinite Dreams, but apparently he's upgraded to at the very least 00s technology and cut the delay down to a reasonable...

Funny you bring up En Vivo, since I seem to recall one of main complaints about that tour's setlist and thus also the live album's was that it was incredibly uninspired since it was very similar to Rock in Rio besides the new songs and Dance of Death and Running Free (and with the interesting...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Yeah, it was horrendous at the first few shows, where it was right before Fear and then moved up one song to be before TETMD. He was apparently sick too for a while on that leg, but for once recovered in time for En Vivo so we (thankfully) got some absolutely stunning professionally mixed...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Nah. Bruce's peak was in the late 90s. He had a powerful voice, massive range and consistency, real vibrato technique and could easily keep it up for an entire show, with an encore of such easy songs as NotB, Hallowed and RTTH. He had a decade of absolutely stunning performances if you look at...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

It's not even that. It's nature! Everyone's voice naturally lowers as they age (until a point anyway) and singers in particular have to come to terms that their vocal cords simply aren't as elastic as they used to be when they're past their 20s. Bruce used to understand the value of technique...
