Darkest Hour, best song on the album IMO. The chorus sounds like vintage Maiden. The solos are amazing.

"Headed for afterlife... meet me THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRREEEEEE!" Man, what a goosebumps moment. Vintage Bruce. I wish he held on for longer. Haha.

I really think Senjutsu is Maiden's most emotionally charged album. AMOLAD (my fav. of the reunion era) was dark in the sense that it was heavy and menacing. This one is dark because it's more somber, and emotionally tense. I've been blasting it for a while now, and I can almost feel chest pains...

I ordered the Red vinyl copy from Wal-mart. Has anyone happened to received those? Wondering if they look glorious in person.

I’m gonna say Darkest Hour is my favorite track. And it’s sneaking in to my top ten Maiden song list. What a powerful tune. When Bruce and Adrian get together, the chemistry is absolute magic.

That simple melody at 3:30 in The Parchment carries so much tension. I like it.

Is Steve trying to re-write every song he’s written with the same old generic guitar melodies? Sometimes I think Steve and Janick write the stuff they do so Janick can dance on stage. Anyway, looking forward to hearing the whole thing on Friday.

Sept. 3 to me, personally, is almost a holiday. That’s when the band wants fans around the world to gather and listen together, so to speak. So I have no problem waiting. I’m sure it’s gonna be worth it.

I dunno why everyone’s losing their patience so much that they’re willing to practically steal the album, lol. It’s only a couple of days away. Do something productive. Drink some water or something.

It sounds way too heavy to be Maiden. Drums don’t sound like Nicko either. I doubt this is a tease of any new stuff.

Imagine the band using all this downtime to work on new songs. And maybe suddenly surprise the shit out of everyone with another new album next year.
