I honestly think it's safer for Maiden to go "longer songs" route. With longer songs there is more room for creativity (whether they use it or not), but woth shorter ones you kinda have to nail and main riff and chorus and solo to make it worth, otherwise it would become parody of their older...

It's a shame that Maiden won't change setlist for THE 50th anniversary show. Like, put more songs, or change it completely to put it out of RFYL frame would be cool, otherwise it really is just another Maiden show.

I agree, but although they're story-telling band, they still made some songs that reflect on themselves - wasted years, blood brothers (indirectly became that), iron maiden (same as bb), coming home... Can't think of more now

No no, I say it works and is amazing for me, but that's just me, there are like milion fans who saw this show already and I'm sure majority can't that easily give another 100€ for same show. If I was in that scenario, I would probably save that money for next tour.

Maybe they change it a bit who knows For DVD as long as it is focusing on their whole career with respective interviews, it's wort it. But if documentary is 2h long and 1h20min are about period until 90s or until Blaze era idk. Okay book could cover Blaze era more, though they didn't miss...
