Must have sold a ton of copies in Germany (wasn’t it the best selling album of 2021 after just one week there ?). Anyway as written above still n.1 in my country , Greece, still shops can’t keep up with the demand.

Nah I have turned around, even posted about it in the review thread. I love the album.

Finally n.1 in Greece in its fourth week (!!!). The album faced serious distribution problems here, only specialised stores were bringing it and it sold out almost immediately in its first few weeks of release. It must have sold an amazing number of copies, wish I had some numbers,

What’s this obsession with Nightwish ? Entire metal sub-genres took Maiden’s musical elements and modified them from power metal (both european and american) to melodeath. Seriously stop this thing about....Nightwish (of all bands). You said your piece , we get it.

Yeah ......no. There were a ton of symphonic «metal» bands before them from Stratovarious to Rhapsody to whatever. Honestly your opinions about Maiden are embarrasing (simpler than Nightwish....lol) but whatever. Anyway for me symphonic metal is Celtic Frost in albums like ITP not this eurometal...

Not bothered by the future of metal anyway, it has been over 50 years since the first notes of Black Sabbath (the song) were heard, the genre had a great run. Whatever will be, will be....

Nothing experimental about Sabaton and Nightwish, Voivod are experimental.

These bands are not even metal. Ghost are 100% NOT metal. Slipknot are not a new band anyway and neither are Nightwish, bands with over 20 years of discography are not the future (nevermind arguing about their dubious quality). That’s like saying in 2001-2002 that Maiden were the future of...

If the future of metal is Slipknot, Nightwish, Sabaton, Ghost then metal has no future. One rap/Nu metal band, two Eurovision-style bands and one hard rock/pop band masquerading as metal because of its image. Japan is a very special market for Helloween.

I am really trying to respect the fact that you are a diehard Nightwish fan and keep my replies serious. You want to exclude the biggest markets (U.S, U.K) to draw conclusions but that’s not how it works and I will leave it at that.

Priest is a much bigger worldwide act.

Yep more or less about 5k per show for Priest , just as I wrote in my first post without having to look at Wikipedia.

Yeah and his logic , which is based on Wikipedia , is completely flawed. Here’s an example that I know first hand, cause I was actually there. Judas Priest played Rockwave festival Athens/Greece 19 July 2018. Iron Maiden played the same festival at the same venue(well not exactly venue, it was...

Iron Maiden and Judas Priest are nowhere near the same level. If you have your own reality I can’t help you.
