Midterms couldn't come soon enough. Every week something new and horrendous. It's mentally exhausting.

I think it's just friendship. Bruce owns the rights to his song and both are his band. For him it also makes sense in terms royalties to release a song under maiden

I am really excited by the new solo lineup of Bruce. The guitarists are amazing and I have a feeling there will be lot more interesting riffs and solos in the next album compared to what we got in the Mandrake Project. I still hope he saves his best ideas for maiden or Steve is able to steal...

I think if you see their album interviews they always talk about bringing pretty advanced stage demos (especially Adrian) to the recording studio. This is almost essential for them since they give themselves so little time at the studio. So it is likely all of them parked away riffs and melodies...

They must have all individually written many new ideas by now. 2019 was a long long time ago. It would be shame if we never see those ideas realized through album 18. I am hoping in 2027 they spend 2 months in France and bang out an album for a 2028 release + world tour

Ah I forgot about that. It is also the underlying riff of Book of Souls pre-chorus (just slowed down). When I first heard this song, I wondered if maiden had reached their creative limits or not, with so many parts that seemed rehashed. Nevertheless an enjoyable song (without the long-ass intro)
