Which album actually has the worst production?

The only album that sounded weird to me was TXF, especially the drums. That being said, would I enjoy TSOTC, Judgement of Heaven, Fortunes of War or The Edge of Darkness more than I do now, with a different production? I am not so sure. I came to accept that every album has its own unique...

NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING - Your thoughts…

 no objections! I love his moves on stage.

Which Maiden album had the biggest "grower" effect on you on the long run?

TFF, especially The Talisman. When I first heard it, I found it long and boring. After a couple of years, it became a top-3 song for me. One of the most extraordinary songs I have ever heard. Westward the tiiiiide.... Sail by the Talismaaaan!

NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING - Your thoughts…

Same here. At least the title track should have been in the setlist. Great melodies and guitar work from Janick and Dave. It would have sounded fantastic live, with Adrian's guitar added on the stage.

NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING - Your thoughts…

I don't hate the album I just don't like it. Title track is good, and the instrumentals are OK, and that's about it. As an album it does not appeal to me at all. It has nothing to do with my favourite albums like TBOS, DOD, AMOLAD, BNW or Senjutsu. It does not have Bruce, which is another...

NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING - Your thoughts…

NPFTD is better than Killers only, which is at the very bottom on my list. Title track is great, Mother Russia and Bring Your Daughter are OK. I don't care about the rest of the songs really.

Create your own Iron Maiden setlist!

replace Weekend Warrior with Montsegur, and Man on the Edge with Edge of Darkness... and I'm all in! By the way, where is "Shadows of the Valley" for God's sake?

    DAWSON 1 YEAR ON

I never liked the songs being played faster than the studio versions, and if Simon brings the tempo down, that is fine for me.

Rate the songs of Book of Souls in order best to least good

Happy to see there are fans other than me, who like this song too much. There is absolutely much more to the song than the intro that resembles Wasted Years. I still cannot understand why it was not played live. It could have worked much better than The Great Unknown or Tears of a Clown. There...

Do You Remember The First Time?

When I was in the USA in 2019, I saw them in New Jersey. It was my first, and to see my favourite musicians live was an amazing feeling. Sadly, the terrible sound mix that night was disappointing. Dave's guitar was so high in the mix, Adrian was audible, whereas Janick's guitar was almost...

What is your favorite Maiden record out of the first 7? (the golden run).

From the 80s, song-wise, nothing beats Children of the Damned for me. But as an album, Powerslave is much better than TNOTB. SSOASS is equally good, but Powerslave has my vote only because of Dave's magnificent solos on the title track.

Best album for each instrument in Maiden?

I would rather choose a song that I like for each instrument or that I think shines the most in the song: Vocals: The Talisman Guitars: Dance of Death, The Parchment Bass: Running Free Drums: Where Eagles Dare Acoustic Guitar: Journeyman Synths: Seventh Son of a Seventh Son Piano: Empire of The...
